Update.Until today my profile didnt have a bunch of personal stuff in it. I just felt that someone could spend hours writing the perfect profile explaining who they are but is that who they are or are they possibly good with words. My grandma taught me years ago, the proof is in the pudding. Well I have had a change of heart as of late because the people I seem to be running into are not a match. Maybe if I put some personal information in my profile I will have better luck finding my match. That is in fact why Im on this program, to find that special someone I can share lives with.First off I am an outspoken, energetic, happy go lucky type personality. I enjoy so many things that most take for granted. Heck I can fly high for a week just finding that special deal at the thrift store. I think one of my best traits is my personality. I enjoy having fun. I enjoy going out to events around KC. Anything outdoors with people is fun. I spent 15 years of my life as a stock broker with a firm that was purchased by H&R Block and I was promoted to KC. In ***I sold my interests in that firm and went out on a new and exciting venture, digital marketing to be exact. I love what I do, wouldnt trade it for anything. I have also played in bands most of my life. I play the drums. I enjoy music and the feelings that one song can just bring out of your soul. My friends would say Im a hoot. I love being funny and get a kick out of making people laugh, even if its at my own expense. I wear my feeling on my sleeve and because of this combined with my open personality well lets just say you would never have to guess what Im thinking. Old Profile;I have been on this program for sometime now and even though I have met some outstanding people, Im still single. Here is what I have noticed in my venture when it comes to this site.1) You cant judge someone by a picture.....Even though attraction is important, I take peoples pics with a grain of salt. I have met so many people that look better in person that I dont even take much thought into pics anymore. 2) Personality traits can not be judged by a profile. Its almost a must to chat/talk with someone for a bit in order to see the connection. Im a type "A" personality with high energy, but to what extent is unknown without this communication right?3) People seem to be addicted to the high of meeting new people so they can never seem to commit because of the grass is greener on the other side syndrome. I understand that things take time to mature and all, but if you dont have that feeling in your gut, then move on....... you know what Im talking about. If the feeling is there, then go with it people. 4) I see people that put stuff in their profile, things they like to do and such. Most seems to be a wish list of stuff to do, rather than what is currently being done. I workout.....I dont wish to workout, or plan to working out. Another example might be someone saying they like to ride mountain bikes, but they dont have one. Like I said, seems like a wish list at times.OK OK OK. If I sound bitter then you have it all wrong. I really think there are some basics to this whole online stuff and if you work within these basics you will enjoy your experience moreJust sayinDana Maybe we could meet for lunch.     I'm looking for someone who is willing to be adventurous and try new things. Life has become too predictable for me and I need to shake it up some. I love the outdoors and would love to get lost in the woods with someone. I listen to all types of music and love to listen to it live. Ever since college I have been in the same relationship so this is something totally new for me. I am not a party animal, but I do like to spend time with family and friends out every now and then. I would love to have them complete this list with me....I would like to hear about your Bucket List. I don't look at the first "encounter" as the first date. This would probably be either for coffee or drinks to keep it light and relaxed to see if there is anything there to explore further on a 1st date. If there is a 1st date to follow, then there would be more extensive planning involved. I could see a 1st date taking place at a nice restaurant where delicious food and drinks can be shared while finding out more about each other and candle light is flickering on the table. Or, (depending on our wonderful weather around here) a more casual picnic on the shore of one of the 10,***lakes nearby where sun, fresh air and a light breeze allow for questions to be asked to learn more about each other. A first date would not be to a movie or club where there is no talking or you have to shout at each other to be heard. I'm comfortable enough with myself that I can hold a conversation with someone without having to have distractions (staring out at the dance floor) if there is a brief silence.
