About Me

Laid back, happy go lucky guy that likes to take life as it comes. I love to laugh and have a funny (I think) personality that's a little on the dry wit side but rarely intended to be mean. Don't let the easy going demeanor mask the fact that I also have a very analytical nature, but I'm ***right/left brain so I try to keep everything in perspective from a place of balance. I may not agree with someone's opinion but I can almost always empathize with how they think the way they do. Empathy, compassion and understanding are huge for me - both giving and receiving. I'm happy enjoying the great outdoors, love the mountains and forests or paddling down a river or in the backwaters of a lake. I enjoy sporty fun, P90X, being active outside but also a good movie and just sharing time. I grew up in a traveling family and have visited all but about 6 states to date in the US - My favorite 2 beaches are in the Cayman Islands and outside Cozumel. I've also spent time on a missions trip in college to Siberia! Daytime keeps me busy managing an accounting team. It's a paycheck but not my greatest love. That would be music! I play several *** sing and enjoy a wide range of styles. My favorite is Mark Knopfler. He's the king of guitar and songwriting for me. I've got a big family of 6 kids, 5 young men and 1 princess. They are my life. So if you don't like kids I won't be your guy. I have the standard arrangement of every other weekend but I coach 2 in baseball and am very involved in their lives. Their mother and I are amicable and basically drama free. Great place to relax and enjoy nature's beauty and yet be close to most everything I need in the city. Currently I am finding time to do things I like. Record music, kayak on the lake, spend time with friends, be with my kids, learning to paint. Planning what flowers I'm going to plant around the house this year. It serves the dual purposes of making my house look nicer obviously but also gives me a variety of subjects to photograph. I'm by no means a professional photographer but I enjoy it and love finding creative ways to capture beautiful moments in nature and life. When I have the chance to watch sports its the COWBOYS, RANGERS, or STARS!!!! I'm pretty good at: Playing guitar and piano and singing - country and rock Conversation Not being demanding! If you are looking for a man that tries to check his judgments at the door here I am :-) Actually I have a blast looking for humor in most things. I have at times a singular wit about me (anyone know the reference?) and try to keep life light for those around me. Its a cover for the deep thinking under the surface so know that almost every comment is intentional, well almost all of them. As for a relationship, I am looking for someone that has a heart as big as mine. I hope you enjoy the lighter side of life but I am a very deep thinker as well. I'm not looking for drama, just a sincere woman looking to be open and honest. Grab a drink and chat but lets skip the movies until later down the road.
