About Me

Originally from Socal, I came up here for a change of pace and a new job. I've been here over three years now so I guess that makes me official. I'm pretty sure I'm staying here anyway.I'm looking for someone not easily defined like myself. Someone with varied interests and atypical lifestyles. Well rounded with a sense of style, yet doesn't take themselves too seriously. Mature and responsible yet slightly impulsive and funny. Say what you mean/mean what you say. I don't speak in code. I recently "celebrated" my 40th birthday and with that a strong movement to quitting drinking, or at least to cut down most of it. I work from home most days and let myself get carried away one too many times. So, anyone looking to do the same would be nice. I'm looking for someone cute, smart, fit, and funny, with a semblance of obligations and responsibilities to school/work and others outside of relationships. If anything it helps to make things more interesting to have things to talk about if we don't spend every waking moment together. I like my space as much as anyone would. I don't cheat and if I'm alone I'm usually at home on the computer, watching movies and/or playing video games or something. Btw, I just mean in the beginning. Naturally I would expect us to spend more and more time together as time progressed, eventually living together with marriage and children being ideal. But DINK is awesome too. Buying a big house together near some water would be a dream.I'm done with casual dating, but that doesn't mean a first date has to feel as serious and calculated as a job interview. I like it when I can talk to someone uncompetitively with interesting topics and dialogue just sharing stories and information. Like it came out of a podcast or something. That was a dorky analogy but it's nice to talk to someone like that. If you couldn't tell I can get very wordy, but only with the right people. So I'll end it here so you don't get sick of me.Please restore my hope that online dating can be successful. Also, I feel this needs to be said because it has happened too often... If you're the type of person that has ever messaged someone to set up a date, confirms the day before, and then cancels the day of, please don't message me.

    Hi.. first off i am a responsible and loving father of three...a boy 18 and two girls 16 & 12. Honestly i could be more informed...trying to be... although i am not overly passionate politically but i do vote. i come from a large family... my parents have been married for over 50 years. the older i get the more i appreciate my parents. i am young at heart... i'm a great dad and a favorite uncle to my nieces and nephews.. i like to hike...mtn bike... i keep a tidy yard and garden..although i kinda let weeds take over my garden this year...i got busy... still got some nice tomatoes.I have been playing volleyball once a week lately...a couple old high school mates invited me out...that has been fun and it's been good to get out and be social. anyway...i'm a nice guy...i can be kinda sarcastic. sorry...i try to keep it playful. there's a lot more to me so we should chat bcuz this is getting kind of long. good day!
