I am new to this so please bear with me. I tried this for a short time then I realized it was turning into a second job haha. The highlights about myself haha. About me: I just turned 40, single never married with no children. I did however help raise a nephew for about ten years and we still talk often while he is in college at MIT. I am very close with my family. I attended college in the DFW area at a small private college where I studied International Economics and Finance/Political Science. I am a Finance Manager. In the near future I hope to start my MBA at SMU.I have a very playful sense of humor but I can also be serious when need be, well maybe haha. I have traveled some domestically but not near as much as I have internationally. In addition, I enjoy reading, working out, all sports, bookstores, museums and plays on occasion, movies at home or out, cooking with friends and spending time with family. In the future, I hope to learn to scuba dive and sail.I am actually looking for someone who intelligent, has an independent aspect to their personality, who is open to getting to know each other and having fun. Also, I would like to meet someone with good values that is looking for a true friend and partner that would hopefully lead to a serious relationship. I really hope to learn about that person and get to know them first.

Because this site's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get - I have to confess I have tried meetville before ...Previously I only lasted a short time, but I have learned my lessons well. I do believe there are cool, 'normal', people here - it's just a little hard going with the noise that a lot of 'the crazies' seem to make, ha! Sorry to be harsh. So briefly about me; I'm a hard working man, committed to my career, stable and able! I understand the importance of work and life being in balance. So I also enjoy; getting out (on any kind of adventure), cooking new or fun things, music (pretty much most of the time) and perhaps a bit randomly, I play American Football at a good competitive level for a decent team. I like being social, love comedy and can get along with anyone - except people who are *** arrogant (I have a real allergy for them). That's a tiny place right on the Border, just past the North Lakes ...you can't miss it - nothing but beautiful wilderness, usually about ***huge Americans getting married ...and 3 confused sheep standing there in horizontal rain, just looking at them in bemusement like "what the f... dudes! It's freezing here!!"..then I spent the next 10 years using my job as an opportunity to live and work abroad for my clients in quite a few countries. 10 years was long enough though, and I recently decided to come back to the UK. I'm committed to settling down now and living in one place (or at least one country) and just looking forward to enjoying the fruits of my effort more. I think (if you are meeting someone you've never met before), it's probably best to meet up somewhere that we both feel pressure free and relaxed. Just a simple drink or a cup of coffee, somewhere that you can actually hear each other speak and neither of you feels 'cornered in'(e.g. five course dinner, late night cinema, in your parents car, 24hr stranded on a remote island - these are all typically bad ideas)
