There's a few changes here if you've viewed my profile before.First, I've changed my status to separated. When I built this profile I thought my divorce would be over in a *** forward six months and it's still dragging on. It's not that it has been contentious just complex. And it seems like the end is near but I don't want to deceive anyone so I changed my status to separated. I haven't really been on here much in the past three months or I probably would have done it sooner. It is going into storage, though, and will hopefully get to see further use in the future.Third, I'm looking primarily for friends. I'm getting myself engaged in the kind of activities where I will meet similar folks to myself but there are quite a few interesting looking people on here also. So if I contact you I'd like to get to know you and see if we can become friends but that is the primary goal for right now. Romantic relationships should start there anyway and I am engaged in some pretty intense introspection, therapy, growth, etc. I'd like a relationship down the road but not in a big rush. Want some fun and companionship and am open to more if it develops later.A little more about me: I love being outdoors and just started hunting again last year. Gardening, working outside, hiking, fishing, hunting or just swimming in the creek and bbq-ing, I like it all. I'm easy to get along with, have a sarcastic wit, and enjoy every kind of music except hardcore rap or metal. I don't like to watch tv at all and prefer non-mainstream movies. I occasionally spend more time fiddling on the internet than I should, though:) Most people would call me liberal politically but that barely brushes the surface. I'm kind of an intellectual, redneck, hippy:) I live in a tipi but want to find the right piece of land and build my own house. Would like to be a part of an intentional community and build an archive for emerging low tech research in the future. I make friends with anyone but am primarily looking for those off the beaten path in life. I'm interested in 4-wheelers as handy modern tools not loud, gas-guzzling means to tear up turf. I'm spiritually oriented and think everyones path in life is ok but if you go to most mainstream churches we probably aren't going to have much in common. I don't knock anyones choices or achievements in life, after all I'm certainly not where I would like to be at 40, but I still have goals that are more than just get my kids out of the house and relax.

UPDATE: I listed 'dating, nothing serious' as what i am looking for here because I would like a relationship with the right person, but as a matter of caution I don't think jumping in right away is the right path to lasting relationships...unless you are one in a million and we hit it off immediately and we can obviously both feel it.About me: I am pretty laid back and I'm interested in having fun, but i have determination, drive and I am tremendously industrious, professionally. But if we can laugh together, we'll definitely hit it off. I enjoy comedy, absurdity, rowdiness and people that can chime in with their own brand of humor, too. Though I am not always giggling, I think it keeps us all young and allows us to not take ourselves so damn seriously. So I might dish it out a little, but I wouldn't do it if I didn't like you. You might even live longer because of it! ;)I love all kinds of music - some of the recent stuff I have been listening to is Zero 7, Little Dragon, Portishead, Foreign Exchange, and some other off the wall groovy stuff, I can't possibly list it all here. I am a serious music lover and try to get out to shows. I can get into a good live performance.I also love, film, art, cusine, wine, the pool and the hot-tub, and great conversation. Oh and I read, too. haha. I know, who does that anymore? From news sites and blogs, to books and magazines I try to stay current about every topic under the sun. I try to learn something new every day and I always have an opinion, I might give it to you if you ask. (or even if you don't) ; I do like Mad Men and Breaking Bad, though. Sometimes a late night DVR is just what the doc ordered.I do love to travel and take weekend trips - to camp, fish, hike, boat, waterski, surf, downhill ski + snowboard (though I broke my ankle 2 years ago on the snowboard!). I hope you do too. I savor adventure and thrills. I also have some creative pursuits: I play the drums, mix films and spin records, but not with any aspirations professionally. I used to do all of that stuff for money and I got kinda tired of the entertainment industry. Although the DJ at a club I was at the other night sucked enough to make me think about getting back into it.I am a tremendous competitor, and I love my work. I do most of these things to fill up my off time so I don't default into work mode. It's very easy to do when you work for yourself.That said. I like to have fun, I am kind hearted and I can't stand the same old, same old. I want to make the most of my time here, so let's not waste it with more of the jibba jabba bull****.
