About Me

I love horror movies, and art. In what little free time I get I enjoy painting and drawing. I'm not exactly Van Gogh but I can hold my own. Although its been years, I do enjoy going to concerts and hope to see the Black Keys sometime. I have a five year old daughter and she is the light of my life! I find it difficult to write about myself so I'll just make this kinda short. I'm a decent down to earth guy who likes to have fun and smile. I'd like to find someone to share a lot of the good times and a couple of the bad times with. Someone who can appreciate me for who I am. Someplace that we can talk and get to know each other. Picnic and a walk in the park. Fishing could definitely be fun!

It's impossible to answer all the questions that people may have running through their heads when they first open up someone's profile, so I'll just tell you a little about who I am and you can judge for yourself.I'm in the military, for 12 years now and have served 2 tours in Iraq - I'm just your average liberal, environmentally-conscious (most of the time anyway), pro equal rights, anti religious establishment kind of guy. With that being said, I'm not anti-religion as a whole. I just strongly believe in a separation between church and state. I know we live in the Bible Belt, and I've honestly given the religion thing a fair shake in the past. It just doesn't work for me, sorry. However, I drink moderately, I don't use drugs, I've never cheated on anyone I've been in a relationship with, I'm not judgmental, and I'm a very honest person. I may not find the same reward in religion that many people do, but I do think it's a good moral guide for the most part. You know, aside from the whole slavery and stoning stuff. I guess it just boils down to this: I don't think you have to be a Christian or go sit in a church an hour a week in order to be a good person. So if that's a deal breaker for you and you really really really care solely about labels rather than actions, then I wish you the best.I think if you have a talent that can help the world around you in some way that you should put that talent to use for the betterment of others. That being said, the Army thinks that I'm apparently good at blowing things up. And they even pay me to do it. I'd call that a win-win. Will I stay in forever? Who knows....there are a lot of reasons to both stick with it or start off in a new direction. I have a very good job in the civilian world (though not the greatest hours for a great social life, hence the meetville account), and I'm very driven to succeed. I've been a full-time employee with this company for less than a year and have already earned 2 promotions, so it's paid off and I plan to stay with them and see what the future holds.I have strong feelings on a wide variety of subjects, and stand firm in my convictions. As fate would have it, I happened to be not only in the aisle that he came in, but was standing directly in front of the seat that was set aside just for him.- except mine. Why you may ask? Because when he stood in front of me with his hand out, I didn't oblige him. I never have agreed with the reasons we went into Iraq, even now after going there twice, and I knew good people that went there and didn't get to come back. That was my protest then and it would be today. I know that the list of people who get to shake the President's hand is relatively pretty short in the grand scheme of things....
