About Me

Hi, I'm Nate. A little about myself. I love the outdoors and all things wild. I think the arts are really interesting, especially painting/photography and performing arts like dance or theatre, though I have only been to a few shows myself. I also love to see good architecture. Actually that was my major in college before I switched. I believe a healthy and active lifestyle are very important to one's mental health (when I was a 4 yrs old I asked the easter bunny for vegetables *** candy... or so my mom says haha). In the future I think it'd be awesome to have my own hobby farm where I can grow some of the food I eat especially chickens and produce. I love to travel and experience other cultures. I was in the Air Force for a while and I miss all the traveling around on someone else's buck. I'm more of a nerd type. Love learning and experiencing new things. Above all I just try to be well-rounded and basically want to experience all that life has to offer.I like a girl who values family and is caring, honest, speaks her mind, loves to smile, and loyal. I usually like the more feminine type girls cause we just complement each other better. Something casual where we can talk and get to know each other like an out-of-the way restaurant or coffee house.

I hate this part. lol Ok here it goes I am an outdoors type of guy love to swim camp boat and spend time with friends and family I was married for over a decade and since the divorce I took some time out to discover who I am and what I want out of life. I also spent a lot of time thinking about what went wrong in my marriage, and have learned how to treat a lady, and believe me when I say my next gf will be treated like a pricess!

It's impossible to answer all the questions that people may have running through their heads when they first open up someone's profile, so I'll just tell you a little about who I am and you can judge for yourself.I'm in the military, for 12 years now and have served 2 tours in Iraq - I'm just your average liberal, environmentally-conscious (most of the time anyway), pro equal rights, anti religious establishment kind of guy. With that being said, I'm not anti-religion as a whole. I just strongly believe in a separation between church and state. I know we live in the Bible Belt, and I've honestly given the religion thing a fair shake in the past. It just doesn't work for me, sorry. However, I drink moderately, I don't use drugs, I've never cheated on anyone I've been in a relationship with, I'm not judgmental, and I'm a very honest person. I may not find the same reward in religion that many people do, but I do think it's a good moral guide for the most part. You know, aside from the whole slavery and stoning stuff. I guess it just boils down to this: I don't think you have to be a Christian or go sit in a church an hour a week in order to be a good person. So if that's a deal breaker for you and you really really really care solely about labels rather than actions, then I wish you the best.I think if you have a talent that can help the world around you in some way that you should put that talent to use for the betterment of others. That being said, the Army thinks that I'm apparently good at blowing things up. And they even pay me to do it. I'd call that a win-win. Will I stay in forever? Who knows....there are a lot of reasons to both stick with it or start off in a new direction. I have a very good job in the civilian world (though not the greatest hours for a great social life, hence the meetville account), and I'm very driven to succeed. I've been a full-time employee with this company for less than a year and have already earned 2 promotions, so it's paid off and I plan to stay with them and see what the future holds.I have strong feelings on a wide variety of subjects, and stand firm in my convictions. As fate would have it, I happened to be not only in the aisle that he came in, but was standing directly in front of the seat that was set aside just for him.- except mine. Why you may ask? Because when he stood in front of me with his hand out, I didn't oblige him. I never have agreed with the reasons we went into Iraq, even now after going there twice, and I knew good people that went there and didn't get to come back. That was my protest then and it would be today. I know that the list of people who get to shake the President's hand is relatively pretty short in the grand scheme of things....
