About Me

Id like for someone to get to know me by talking with me. Not necessarily reading about me. But, I guess Ill throw a few things in here.. I don't really know what to say without sounding like a...well...personal ad. Im a very caring, honest, and happy person. Silly is my specialty.(Really? Who says that?) Family and friends are a huge part of my life. I am looking for someone who also has strong family values. I love the beach! I cant say ive been to too many places, but I would love to travel...as Im sure many people would. I love going out and having a good time, but I also love staying in and watching movies. Honesty is the biggest trait I look for in a partner. Sadly, honest people are hard to come by these days. I respect everyone and expect the same in return. A good sense of humor is a MUST! A quick wit always keeps me on my toes. A confident man is the biggest turn on. Not to be confused with arrogance. Men who take pictures of themselves flexing in the mirror..biggest turn off. I love meeting new people...I'm easy going and easily entertained. I love jokes. I tell terrible jokes. I hate pick up lines. I hate driving in the rain. I love music. I love the sound of pianos. I cant sing. I still do. I love dramatic high fives. They're the best. I love really green grass and big trees. The ocean makes me happy. So does rain. I don't hold grudges and I don't have any enemies. I love honest people, even if its not what I want to hear. I love nice people. Who doesn't? I like people who are different and have good things to say. I love learning from people. Space interests me most. I could ask a million questions about it. I have a full closet and never have anything to wear. I love shopping. I love hats. I love boxers(the dogs) I love home videos. I love sushi. I tried to make it once. It didn't go very well. I think these are enough random thoughts about myself. Along with ***first grade level sentences. weird.... (wow, I just read this after its been posted and I have no idea why I thought random thoughts were a good idea. So ridiculous. I think I'll leave it?) I'm pretty sure I was 16. This site is telling me where to use commas, yet they confuse me with incomplete sentences. What does this question mean exactly? ;)

I feel like I need to help the hapless souls out there floundering around and getting frustrated so I've created: Online Dating ***If you actually want to read about me, skip past the big space and read my profile part***READ THE PROFILE AND REPLY ACCORDINGLY If a girl says she's not into hockey or not into church or whatever it may be... and you message her with a "hey"... she goes to your profile and sees "hockey is my life", you're not going to get a reply. Not to say that you need to have the same interests, but you need to provide enough of a message to bypass that if that's the case.2) WRITE SOMETHING WORTHWHILE I'm not talking an essay here... but ***good quality sentences go a long way. You want a person to get a feel for your intentions. Again ... you don't get much of that with a "hey". 3) INTENTIONS If someone has "Dating but nothing serious"... you might get away with a "hey, sexy, wanna chat?" because maybe that person is on the rebound, maybe that person is looking for a fling. If someone has "relationship or long term"... that won't cut it. 4) MOST IMPORTANT! CONVERSATION SKILLS If you do get a reply, ask questions that require more than a yes/no good/bad answer. For example; conversation A: "Hey, how are you?" "Good, you" "Good. What's up?" "Nothing, you?" ... see where this is going? NOWHERE. Try conversation B *** "Hey, how are you? What did you get up to this weekend?" "I went to the lake, what did you do?" "Awesome, which lake do you normally go to? I really like... blank. I went out and did blank." "Oh, blank is interesting, I've never tried it... bla bla bla." OK... see where I'm going with this? The convo keeps going and you might actually get to that elusive coffee date. 5) ATTRACTION: This is a weird world of online shopping for people... sometimes you know right away that the attraction isn't there. Yes, it sucks. Yes, people should take the time to get to know you. BUT... let's be honest here.. online, that's probably not going to happen as much. As a girl, we get waaaaay more messages than we can reply to in a week, so we have to narrow it down somehow. Sorry, but if you don't get a reply, don't keep going three times. There was a reason. It sucks, it's unfair, but it is what it is. 5) LASTLY: BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF If you're posting a picture from 5 years ago, or you used to play guitar in highschool but don't anymore, don't put that as an interest. People change over time. Who are you RIGHT now? That is what you are trying to sell. You will be more successful if you know your product. Always glad to help the masses... best of luck. MY OWN PROFILE:OK, so after a few strange and not so great encounters on here before, I ended up finding someone awesome... totally legit reason, but I'm a bit sad about it. We're still in contact, just not dating anymore... so who knows what will happen. At this point, I mostly just want to talk to some new people. I'm not in a huge rush to date and the first meet up for me is just that, a meet up. Shouldn't be an awkward situation where you're trying to size the person up for the long term yet. If I do ever decide to date you though, I'm in it 100%. :) A bit about me: I'm a very involved person... that is, I work hard at my job, I volunteer a lot, I spend a lot of time with my friends and a lot of time making my dreams actually happen. I like to go out and dance, but I'm not a big drinker. I like participating in activities and some sports, but I don't care about the Riders or any other team per say. I'm busy, but I make time for the things that matter. :)Self expression: Shaggy hair, facial hair, tattoos, your own sense of style = awesome. Too clean cut is not very real in my opinion(unless it's strictly for work), or if it is real, you're probably not my type haha. Find who you are, you'll be much happier... and it will make you better in a relationship. Grammar: If you can't tell the difference between your and you're... or u tipe lyk dis... don't. DISCLAIMER(S): I have a few tattoos, two of which are large and cover the back of both of my shoulders. I will probably get more. So, if you don't like tattoos and are the type that asks "Whyyy???", we probably won't get along. I'm spiritual and enjoy things like meditation, but I'm not Christian and never will be, so if that's a dealbreaker... I'm not your girl. I'm actually 5'10"... so if you say you're 6 feet when you're 5'9"... I'll know. ;) I don't check this everyday, so if I don't reply right away, it doesn't mean I don't intend to. It usually means work has taken me somewhere without reliable internet. :P Coffee or warm beverage, it's simple, relaxed and one of my favourite activities.
