About Me

I'm an elementary school teacher. I lived in AZ for three years to teach after college and moved back to MI in June ***. I'm hoping to meet new people and although I'd like to take things slow and start as friends, in the long-run I am looking to be in an exclusive relationship. My profession is very female-dominated so I've been having a hard time meeting the opposite sex, as well as people my age. I feel a little behind in life as the majority of my friends are either engaged, married, pregnant, have kids, etc... so our priorities are different. I like to be social and mingle, but you need people to go out with to be able to do that :-) Well, that's me and why I'm online in a nutshell. The rest is a little more about me, but let's be honest, you read a few lines, sure, but based your decision on my pictures :-) I'm fun-loving and a bit of a perfectionist. I'm a leader and not a follower. I believe that in giving you receive and in the basic principle of karma: what you put out to the world is what you get back. I believe in shaking it (aka doing a little dance) when you feel the urge. I enjoy friendly banter and getting a little feisty at times to keep people on their toes. I believe that you are the company you keep. I believe in the power of kindness. I never forget a face. I'm very independent. Maybe too much so for my own good, so it will take that special person to be a 'partner in crime.' I feel that I am usually the dependable/reliable one taking care of others and what I would really like is someone who can also be that for me. I'm about 5'6" and have dark brown eyes and light brown hair. I describe myself as curvy, but categorizing myself into a specific body-type is difficult. I'm not thin and I'm not fat. I take care of myself, exercise when I can (I love to dance and Zumba! I even *** first class this year for 8 weeks!) and am conscious about the foods I eat (but not overly strict... you have to enjoy yourself, too). I love to go out dancing and love music. I enjoy simple things in life. I'm not really the adventurous type. I like doing a little social drinking and going out occasionally but I also like having nights in, staying at home with a movie or good book and relaxing. It's all about balance.I am basically looking for someone respectful, honest, and funny. I'm looking for some maturity and someone who has their 'stuff' together. I'm really just looking for someone who is good company to experience the little, and big, things in life with. I love a great sense of humor and someone who is an overall gentleman. It would be nice to take things slow and start as friends and see where it goes from there. At the very least, I can always welcome a new friend!

    I'm not real sure what I'm looking for... just thought I'd try this out for fun and see what happens with it. I'm a single Mom. My daughter always comes first. I have full custody of her and have her full time. I'm really sick of the party scene and just recently quit going out. I love watching movies and just hanging out with someone and talking. I want to be with someone who is comfortable with my lifestyle and my responsibilities as a parent. I would really like to start to go to concerts and listen to live music more often. I like every type of music and I love to dance. I love decorating and love antiques and vintage anything. I am a very loyal person to everyone in my life, and I expect the same in return. I don't want to be alone, but then again I don't want to waste anymore time with someone who isn't meant for me. You make lists in your head about what you want in a lover, like brown hair and a sweet voice. A sharp mind and a soft heart, a sense of humor that actually makes you laugh, like you mean it. This and that. And it's all bullshit. Because people aren't lists. And I've always wanted to be the person who made someone realize that. I want to come across someone with a list in their head that is nothing like the person I am, and I want to show them what they didn't even know they were looking for. People who think they know what they want are fooling themselves. Nobody really knows what they want. Not until it's right in front of them.
