It’s all about staying in the moment but learning from the past. The older I become I have learned I'm not settling for second best. I don't want to waste my time not being happy. Dating is tedious and painful and downright annoying sometimes, especially when you are waiting and hanging on for that big spark (rightfully so). But, it can be fun. My goal in dating was to find “The One” and meet my future husband, but realized I may be setting myself up for failure and disappointment. Also thought i might be coming off as too desperate to men. I want a person I could trust and have fun with, that could possibly lead to other things. I realized I needed to change my frame of mind and be more relaxed and when it happens it happens. Luckily my sister still lives there so visiting is a must (in the summer lol). I have spent the past 6 years working as a Vet technician... That means I pretty much have the coolest job ever! We place the IV cath lines, assist in surgeries, X-rays, anesthesia... We are just the nurse ok! Ha. It is different everyday and very fulfilling. I do have a young son that at this point I do not share custody with so in other words I need someone who understands I can't just pick and do things someone who understands the kid thing. At this point its looking like i will never share custody nor receive child support and I'm not looking for a man to think of this as baggage but a clean slat. If you want a good relationship with a mother it's starts with the child! Obviously it wouldn't be right away but the most important thing to a mom would be how you interact with the kiddos ( I only have one just in general lol). I'm fun and am there for the person I want (notice it doesn't say need) to be with. I'm patiently waiting for something but I'm not in a place where I have to find it.Now on a less serious note I can be found dancing to music around my room. I'm not making any promises that I'm any good at it but I sure hope it rubs off on my son ;) I love nights in with my family doing puzzles (I'm embarrassingly good at them lol). I want to always be busy if its BBQs hiking site seeing amusement parks zoos I'm there! I'd just like to find someone to do it all with. I love horses. It's been a few years since I've been on one and miss it a lot ;) He needs to pick up the tab, always. I don’t think the word dutch should ever come into the picture in a relationship, or even on a date. If a guy asks you out, he should pay for dinner, or lunch, or coffee. Anything. That’s guy gentleman law.The guy should make an effort to open the door for you, and do any other heavy lifting. Like it or not, men are supposed to be the stronger sex. They are supposed to protect their women, and if the guy makes you throw out the trash, or pick up heavy sh*twhile he’s being lazy sitting on the couch, maybe you should look elsewhere.A guy should get you flowers. He should get you flowers just because he cares. He should make you feel special. I am making a triumphant return to Plenty of Fish. (which I don't think it really should be. Triumph would be a successful meeting from POF) I'm willing to give it another go. I struggled to find my niche and my passion for life, but once I did I was very foolish not to see it sooner!!! I'm a seamstress and wardrobe technician for live theater. I love to sew, love costumes, wigs, makeup, the dancing, the music, the energy! Theater is amazing! I landed my dream job and here I am living in Sin City originally from SoCal.Because I have an ENTIRE costume warehouse as a closest at my disposal, I enjoy dressing up to fit the occasion when I go out.The glitz and the glam don't toot my horn all the time though. I love to put on my comfiest clothes and be makeup free on my "lazy" days. Trimming the ends and getting a good scalp scrub can be way more relaxing than a massage any day.I can't wait to explore the outdoors in the mountains and snow! I really want to learn to snowboard and/or ski this winter. I can't deny that I am sad the warm pool weather is almost gone :(I love to travel. I'm very lucky that I get to for work so often.I LOVE to ride my bike. I'm no speed racer... I just like to cruise and get a little leg work out in. It's also Eco-friendly, free, and a great way to burn off a little frustration.I love to eat, but I DEFINITELY know how to eat in moderation to stay healthy in life :) Burgers are my favorite food group. Oh man, how I can put away a burger!! On all my travels I make sure to research the local eats and visit the famous spots. I am pretty wimpy when it comes to spice, but I am getting better. Dog..... Yes...I'm still learning what I need for myself in life... I put romance and relationships on hold for a LONG time, so I am am still working out the kinks on my essay answers. What is most important to me? What are my goals in my relationships? Yada, yada, yada....
