I am new to the area and am looking to meet new people. I'd like to chat a bit first and then possibly meet up. I'm 27 years old from Mass, moved to NC for work. I am easy going with a good sense of humor. I have a big heart and care a lot about people. I'm looking for friends and possibly more if we hit it off. Some tidbits about me: I enjoy the simple things in life like going out to eat, watching movies, or just hanging out. I enjoy being outdoors and really like traveling and camping. I am close to my family and friends. I like to learn about people of different cultures. I enjoy music and musicals, and while I'm not a good singer I do sing a lot. I love hiking and swimming, although I'm not very athletic--trying to become for so. Its important to me give back through charities and volunteer work. I am known for smiling and being happy. I can be really talkative once you get to know me.I am very open minded and enjoy getting to know people from different backgrounds. I'm not perfect but I do consider myself to be very self aware. I communicate openly and have an ability to see things from the viewpoint of others. I sometimes can be indecisive and slow to warm up but I think if you take the time to get to know me you will find it was worth it.I'm looking for someone with similar interests, that is a strong communicator.     I am in my fifth year of teaching elementary general music. This job allows me to sing, play ***, dance, and play games all while influencing children. I am also Children's Music Director at my home church, in which I direct two children's choirs and a bell choir. Those children have my heart :).I enjoy all kinds of music except for rap.I am a caring person who loves being surrounded by friends and family. I get strength from seeing my students smile. I am interested in a serious relationship with someone who loves to laugh and have a good time in a relaxed environment, but can also be serious and supportive.I have a genetic skin condition called Netherton Syndrome. I am caucasion, but Netherton's causes me to have a slightly sunburned appearance. It is not a sunburn however, and it is not contagious. It requires daily maintenance, and because of it I have to be extremely careful in the sun and heat.I care more about character and pesonality than looks. I love good conversations as well as spending some quiet time together watching TV and movies. I do like to have time to myself, especially after full days of teaching, but that doesn't mean I don't want to be around people. For a first date, I would want to meet for lunch or coffee on a Saturday or Sunday. I think it's important for the first date to be in a place that is comfortable and allows for conversation. I love seeing movies, but it's important to be able to talk on a first date :).
