About Me

What I like to do is not the same as who I am, but I guess it's a good place to start.I love:Music - I'm a bit of an indie snob. My favorite bands include New Pornographers, The Pass, Passion Pit (their remix of the Cold War Kids "Yours is Mine" is AMAZING), Tegan and Sara, AFI (not indie, I know), Band of Horses, etc, etc. I also love 80's music. I can belt it to Foreigner with the best.Baseball - Can't help it, that's how I was raised. I love baseball and like to go to a few Bees games every summer.Comedy - I love stand up comedy. Try to get to Wiseguys a few times a year. My favorite comedian is Jimmy Pardo. I've seen him live three times and I've been a subscriber to his Never Not Funny podcast for years. TV - I like to get sucked up in a tv show and lose a weekend (or more) on Netflix or Hulu. My favorite comedies are Parks & Rec, New Girl and the Mindy Project. Favorite dramas are Parenthood, Scandal and I'm liking that new show the Blacklist. I'm a big Battlestar Galactica fan, and I loved the Starz series of Spartacus. So that's a little nutshell of what I like to do. Who I am...I'm politically liberal and have a few issues about which I'm passionate. I'm kind of a home body but would love to meet someone who wants to break up my routine a little. I'm shy and it takes me awhile to warm up to new people, which makes it hard to meet people. But once I'm comfortable with someone, I loosen up. I'm blunt and will say exactly what I'm thinking. In the right situation I can be that girl who will get on top of a chair/table and dance to Lady Gaga. I don't like people who are uptight or pretentious. I am LDS. I was inactive for many years, mostly due to the conflict of my personal politics vs. those of the church, but have recently started going again. I'm still trying to find my footing but would prefer to date a like-minded LDS person. But prefer doesn't mean require. I'm open to all possibilities. In a relationship, I'm looking for someone that I can be myself with. Someone who gets my sense of humor, who can make me laugh, who I can open up to and be comfortable with. I just want that true partner in life.Oh, and I have a blog. Visit me at imamoliberal.blogspot.com

I have decided to rewrite my description as the previous description was like reading a novel. lol SO I will attempt to shorten it up a bit. I am a woman though. lol. I do have a lot to say.lol I am definitely the types of person who could keep anyone on the phone for hours if they let me. lol One thing I have to say before I start though..... Why is it that so many people DON'T Smile in their pictures. I mean .Really. For me. If a person isn't smiling they don't look happy. And if you don't look happy. I probably won't respond to messages. I try and surround myself with positive and happy people. There is nothing worse for me then an unhappy person trying to bring my mood. down. I am probably the worst person when it comes to keeping misery company. So if you are miserable. Please leave me alone. And I do mean that in a nice way. Anyways..... Moving on. lolLet’s see.... Let me start off with Hobbies. I definitely like to go camping. I like the movies. I like nature walks and I love music. I am 33 and yes I still rock out in my car. I still sing in the car as if no one is looking at me like a crazy person. For me it is like dancing when no one is watching. It makes me feel free and full of life. lol I enjoy hanging with my little boy. Well I suppose he isn't so little anymore at 8 years old. But he is still my little man. I can honestly say I am probably a better person after being a mother to such a wonderful little boy. I have learned to appreciate the smaller things in life and have a different outlook on the world. It’s not just about me anymore. I make decisions now that will benefit not only me but my child as well. I think about him first and foremost before anything else even before my own needs. Which is how I think it should be. I like pretty much any type of music except for the kind where people think screaming sounds good. It says to say something that makes me unique. But I think it’s kind of obvious. I think we are all unique in our own way. I am me. I am not your next door neighbor. I am not your ex-girlfriend or your ex-wife. And I expect to be treated as if I weren't either one of those. Unless of course for some reason I meet with someone and things don't work out. Then that is a different story. But until a chance is taken on me. I expect to be treated differently than the people you have put in your past. I am not the past. I am the present. I am the now. And for that someone special, whomever I am meant to be with, I am the future. So I guess my thinking makes me unique. There is a saying I heard that I liked very much. "It’s not about being able to marry the person you can live with. It is about marrying the person you can't live without. I know there is someone out there for me that will want to not live without me, and I them. But as everyone knows. It is like finding a needle in a haystack. I have also taken on working out again. Trying to take care of myself and get myself back to where I should be. Its a work in progress. My new job has kept me a little more sedintary then I am use to being. While I am still on my feet all the time. I am not doing the heavy lifting or running like I usually do and it has caught up with me a bit. So yeah. I am all for trying to keep myself healthy and eating right. I do cheat (with the healthy eating) from time to time though. lol. What can I say. I am a girl who loves her chocolate. So one or twice a month I cheat. lolAnyways. I guess that is a little about me. If you would like to know any more about me. Please don't hesitate to message me. If I don't respond right away. Please don't fret. I will message you back. I just don’t always get on every day or every hour. I love dinner and red wine (Chianti is my fav) in a quiet place. Would love a picinic. Never really been on one as far as a first date goes but it sounds like fun. Walks on the beach. I also wouldn't mind meeting over coffee. Love coffee. I practically live off the stuff.
