Let me start by saying that I am no where near being perfect and I've definitely made my mistakes along the way and have learned from them. Balance in life is important to me. I'm looking for someone to share all that life has to offer. I'm looking for a man who is active and somewhat fit or height/weight proportionate. You enjoy a career that is challenging and fulfilling. You can carry on a conversation about a wide variety of subjects, yet you reserve the ability to laugh at yourself, and with me, rather than at me - although the latter is often easy to do...haha Like me, you seek someone to help smooth out the edges of an already well-rounded life. Finally, I believe that being selective is a great thing. Too many people fear being alone. I'm very comfortable being alone and prefer it to being in a relationship that doesn't stimulate me in a variety of arenas. There are many great people out there but not everyone is great for each other. I never take offense if someone were to delete an e-mail I sent them or write back, "Thanks but no thanks." Honesty is definitely the best policy.Also, would like to add that although I have three children, only one lives with me. She is the love of my life and the best souvenir ever! I was born and reared on the east coast (NY), went to college in PA and lived in the south (FL) for 10 years. I have a heritage of Italian and Irish and would like to travel to those countries someday as well as Australia. Culturally I should love to drink wine and whiskey and have a hot temper (hehe), but I am actually pretty even tempered. It takes a lot to get me mad, but I can hold my own in a fight if I have to. I am more of a lover than a fighter, but I do like to drink a little (wine, vodka, tequilla - whiskey not so much). I like to do a variety of things, anywhere from cooking a nice dinner at home to going out and listening to live music and dancing. I like to sing, I sing karaoke, I sing in church and I sing and act in local musicals and plays in my community theatre. I like to be involved in my community. I also raised 45K in 3 years and got a skate park built in my town. I am a huge children's advocate, I love children of all ages and have volunteered with children and youth pretty much all my life in community and church. I love pets too, I have a rescue cat and a teacup yorkie granddog that comes and visits often that I adore. "Must love dogs (and cats)" LOL I love fashion and dressing up for a night on the town, I am somewhat of a fashionista, but I also love sitting out on my back patio in my jammies, sweats or an oversized T-shirt (maybe one of yours). I enjoy discussing all subjects, including the taboo ones like religion and politics, but am respectful of opposing positions. I love all kinds of music, especially my back in the day music. My son has turned me onto country and I also love Christian music. I like music from other cultures as well, not too picky when it comes to music. I am health conscious and fitness oriented and am striving to be the best I can be by eating healthier and getting more exercise. I would love to have someone to work out with and keep me motivated. My goals and aspirations are to have good character and be happy and successful in all aspects of life, work, family, friends, a romantic relationship, etc. (all of those are pretty much covered except the romantic relationship, that is where you come in). I have no strong ties to where I live currently. I work from home which is cool because I can travel with my job so I am perfectly willing to move if I find the right guy, I am ready to close this chapter of my life and move onto the next phase. What makes me unique is my heart. I have a big heart for people and try to encourage people and build them up rather than tear them down. I try to see the best in everyone and not judge. A place where we can talk, not a movie or where there is loud music, maybe a walk in a park or dinner as long as you are comfortable in your own skin, happy and successful in your job, have a good relationship with ex's (no baby mama drama), children and family, nonsmoker, care about health and fitness, have a big heart, have good friendships, a sense of humor, do not take yourself or life too seriously, you maybe do some volunteer or charitable work, you like to go out exploring new things and places, but also like to just stay home and chill, you hold doors for women, you give up your seat for elderly and pregnant women, you believe chivalry is not dead, and you are respectful towards those around you "a man's character is judged by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." I've been on this site for a little while now, and although I've met some very nice men I haven't met the guy that makes my heart skip a beat. I'm looking for a professional guy who has a great sense of humor, is hard working, fiscally sound, and values his relationships. When it comes to a first date I think it's easier to get to know someone when you have an activity you're both involved in. So maybe....going out for pizza, shooting pool, a trip to an aquarium or zoo, going to a flea market or bookstore, taking a cooking class together, checking out an exhibit at a museum, antiquing (I don't know anything about them but think the history behind things is fascinating), wine tasting, sightseeing or people watching, or finding a place with good music and maybe a little dancing?
