I've been single for so long and have finally reached a point in my life where I'm only missing by better half. Kids are gone to college - actually I just got a raise ***graduated in May. Now I'd like to come home to a smile and a hug. I'd love someone who has a sense of humor and is quick to laugh. I do believe laughter is the best medicine. I also believe that communication is one of the keys to the beginning of a successful relationship and silence is a killer. Communication in every area is very important to me. I have a ton of sticktoittiveness and devote myself to my guy and am looking for the same in return. I'm a light drinker (most of the time) at this point, and want someone who has a good time without being trashed (although I've been known to forget how I got home a couple times). I'm faithful and a one guy gal and I'd like someone who cares enough that the thought of cheating isn't an option, because of us, not because of guilt from a previous relationship. I believe in treating someone the way you want to be treated. Have been divorced for 16 years......never thought I'd be single this long, but the right guy just hasn't knocked on my door yet. I'm not picky (or prickly), I just want a relationship that clicks and moves forward. Travel is probably my passion and I would like someone who genuinely shares that passion. In the winter.....hmm, that's a bit lazier although I do love to dance and music. Ask me about outdoor winter activities and I'll let you know. Although I don't say "no" to too many offers to do things (repeat from below).I have a great job with a law firm and am settled in my own home, but am looking forward to having two homes......maybe a snowbird at some point soon.I definitely want someone who can carry on an intelligent conversation and who can spell.......don't know why that is so important to me, but it is. Anyway, I'm just a normal woman with your average baggage (fits in a small carry-on in the bulkhead), who misses closeness, fun, adventure and a best friend (other than my 84 year old mom). Someone who thinks family is very important as I have hopes of being a part of yours and you being a part of mine at some point.......even just a bar-b-que would be nice. I'm pretty flexible and love an adventure and spontaneity. Seldom say "no" to new things and am definitely ready to meet the "real" guy (meet vs. all the electronic communications). You know that feeling you get when you are looking forward to something? Little flutters in your stomach? I am looking for someone who makes me feel that way when I know I am going to see them soon. You have a nice full life and are looking for someone to share it with and I the same. I'd like to meet your friends and introduce you to mine. Work takes me out of town during the week every other week and so my schedule can be a challenge. Id like to meet someone interesting to spend some time with on the weekends and when I am in town. Since our lives are pretty full already we can fill in some of the gaps and meet in the middle. I like to cook for friends- smoking meat, breakfast on the grill, pickling anything and experimenting in the kitchen...Take a cooking class, go to a wine tasting. Open for new ideas! During the summer I spend a lot of time on the lake, racing and sailing and just being outdoors anyway I can. I'm a a happy person who can usually see both sides of any story and don't mind an intelligent debate. I am looking for someone who is laid back and open to just getting to know each other. I am easy going and kind and not in a hurry for a relationship. You are intelligent, like people, and enjoy life. You may have similar interests or may have others you would like to share.A good day would start at the farmers market to see what is fresh and preparing a meal together to share with friends outdoors, on the water or at home. Throw in some music, stimulating conversation and some wine and call it perfect. Quiet nights sitting by a fire indoors or out are good too. I have a creative side and enjoy exploring just about anything. I love dogs and although I don't have any pets of my own I frequently take care of friends animals so I can get my dog fix. I love to walk and saw the Northern Lights for the first time this summer during a long distance race up North and want to go back. Never been camping or hunting but I would be willing to try now that I have seen how beautiful it is. Chemistry either happens or it doesn't. I'd like to meet for an adult beverage somewhere and just get to know you for a couple hours. No pressure, if its good, we can always make another date.
