About Me

I am an intelligent, warm and honest woman looking for the same in a man. I want to be able to talk to that special someone in my life about anything - be it politics, religion, (gasp!) sex...even if we disagree. I want to be told the truth, and think I can handle the truth...unless of course you tell me that the pants I'm wearing make my butt look big! I like to learn new things, and I like to learn about new people. I think my friends would also tell you that I'm a good listener. What was that? Did you say something?I think my friends would say that I have a good sense of humor. I like to laugh and make others laugh. I like to be sure that the people around me feel comfortable and included. I feel that (appropriate) humor can break down a lot of barriers.I enjoy going to the movies. I mean, who can resist that popcorn? I enjoy romantic comedies, action/adventure flicks, mysteries, classics...about the only movies I dislike are horror movies and movies about the occult. Other than that...bring it on! I also enjoy going to concerts, musicals, and plays. It sure would be nice to find someone who would want to go along.I love to dance, but don't get the chance much anymore. As for my taste in music, I am very flexible. About the only thing I don't enjoy listening to is acid rock and rap. Other than that, I'm willing to try your music on for size, if you'll listen to mine! I want to meet a man who loves the Lord. I am active in my local parish. I sing in the choir and I play multiple musical *** my church is important to me.I have spent the last year getting myself healthy. I now work out ***times a week (but guys...come on! I could use some help with my upper body strength!) LOL! I like to think that I've learned how to eat healthy stuff, but it's a work in progress...just like me! I love to learn new things, so even if we have some different hobbies or interests, I'd like to hear more about yours. I enjoy walking my dog and engaging with the other dogs and owners in/around the neighborhood. My little one is 13, and we've been through a lot together! Now that you've read this far, let me say for the record that I am confused about the rules these days! Is it ok for me to make "first contact?" Some men say yes and others say no. I know you all don't fit into the same mold, and that makes things even more confusing! But we could have some fun unraveling all the mysteries, couldn't we? I enjoy romance, but you don't have to go overboard! I would enjoy getting to know you better over a nice dinner, and maybe some dancing afterwards - or a long walk or even a cup of coffee could work for me. You wouldn't need to be afraid to open doors for me or pull out my chair. I appreciate these gestures. Flowers on a first date would be a very welcome surprise.     Just like spring it is time for a new look. I am a very honest,compassionate, gentle single lady looking for my knight in shinning amour.     Hello and thank you for taking a peek at my profile. Don't you just love this part? *grinning* .. Telling everyone who you are and what you like to do .. not to mention what you seek. To give you an idea of who I am, I suppose I will begin by saying I am someone who loves life and attempts to make the best of everything. I love the arts including music of all types (okay, I admit I am not a huge fan of rap), catching an exhibit at The High, and even taking in a play from time-to-time. I rarely watch television (frequently tuned into a music channel) and am more likely to pick up a book rather than sit in front of the television.As much as I truly appreciate the beauty of the mountains, I adore the beach. You are much more likely to find me on vacation with sand/sun. For me, sand and sun are therapeutic and to be enjoyed. I am not a barfly. That does not mean I do not enjoying going out and meeting friends for a glass of good wine, just that I am not going to be out all night and certainly not going home with anyone. An evening spent with friends or at home snuggling with someone special and enjoying a movie is a fabulous way to end the day. Are you someone who knows that it takes two to make a relationship and want to be crazy about someone, just as they are wild about you? Are you someone who is not into games; but is honest, open and knows that communication and honesty are essential in any relationship? Do you want for your mate to have the same goals and values, a Godly person .. all the while knowing that does not mean you have got to be joined at the hip? *smiling* ..
