I am a single mom of two wonderful kids. I have a 5 year old son and an 8 month old daughter. My children mean the world to me and they do come first. My babies are mixed so I want to be honest with you, I'm not really into dating white guys. I am not trying to be rude or mean, I DO apologize; This is my preference. I don't want to talk to you and it appear as if I'm leading you on. However, if you'd still like to chat and be friends, I'm cool with that. I love art, music, movies, the outdoors, & traveling, but before all that, I love my kids. A little bit more about me. I am one of eight children and I grew up in the country. As much as I love the country, I like it more in the city. I love being close to things. There is a sense of ease and peace there, but as I said, I love the convenience of where I am. Right now I am only looking for friends and possibilities of dating. I believe a real relationship can't succeed or thrive without first being friends.My family is very important to me and I hope that one day when I find my special someone, their family is equally as important. I consider myself always in improvement mode. I'm physically trying to improve myself and my health, which is why I have this new found love of working out. I do what I can at home for now.     Given that I bought a house, I also intend to stay in DC for a while, quite possibly for life. I am employed and I actually like what I do! I am a voracious reader finding that reading just one book at a time is not enough. I've seen Shawshank Redemption more times than I can count, yet am completely unable to change the channel if I come across the movie on television. I'm a sucker for puzzles, art museums, and dogs.
