I believe there is man that is just for me, somewhere. He's been fairly hard to find but my search has led me to learn many life lessons and to grow as a woman who is tailor made for him. I like to be doing something most of the time, but can make time for anything I like or find worthwhile. I love my family, and those who have become family along the way. I love animals and sometimes wonder if they are truly smarter than us humans. After all, they do only what they love and sleep whenever they want. I work hard and I love what I do, enough to have to remind myself that some of it is actually work and not play. On the plus side, it even keeps me in shape. I have a lot of self-taught skills in my pocket and I like to keep adding to them. Experiences are what shape us and relationships keep us going. Change just keeps us precariously balanced between excitement and dread. Mix it all together and here I am. That is the short version. I've been in my current place of employment for almost eight years but am beginning a new position; one which will afford me somewhat more 'normal' hours. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of this by going out on the weekends and in the evenings; something I wasn't normally able to do. I like adventure and will try about anything once; I love music; any and all kinds really. Live music is always a great option in my opinion. I own my house so aside from work and having some fun I also enjoy taking care of my house and working on some DIY projects. Traveling is also another passion of mine and something I unfortunately don't get to do enough of. I'm hoping to plan another cruise for sometime in the near future. Aside from all of this, I'm up for just about anything fun; bowling, go karts, batting cages, seeing a movie, roller coasters, etc. I also like sports; I play volleyball and do yoga regularly and love football season!! Basketball and hockey are also favorites to watch. Fall and Winter are my two favorite seasons - I LOVE to snow ski but unfortunately don't get to go nearly as often as I would like. Once spring and summer roll around I look forward to being outside more, going to the pool or lake and going to the occasional water park. As mentioned above, I love adventure and will try just about anything once. I love music so a concert is always fun. Something like Frankie's Fun Park is always a cool option since it helps break the ice of a first date and is fun and allows you to be goofy at the same time. I also love trying out new or different restaurants and having a glass or wine or cold beer so that would be my option number three.

I've seen some big changes over the last few years, the most exciting being my first house and a promotion!! The next 6 months will bring even more change into my life and I'm looking forward to finding someone share in all of the excitement! I'm fortunate to spend my days working for a great company where I love my job and have fantastic colleagues. I look forward to quiet evenings at home cuddling with my dog and relaxing. I spend a lot of my spare time reading and have been known to read through the night when it's an especially good book! I'd like to find someone who wouldn't mind joining me and my pup for a stroll around the neighborhood.I'm a "girly" girl. I like to shop (and love a good bargain). I will cry over a good movie or a touching book. I'm a romantic, enjoy being affectionate, and love to cuddle up on cold or stormy nights. I do not play games, what you see is what you get! I say what I mean, mean what I say, and expect the same in a potential partner. I am not interested in partying or the bar scene. I'm easy to please and don't think romance always means long-stemmed red roses or fancy dinners out. More often than not, for me romance is a warm fire in the fireplace, dinner at home and maybe a glass of wine. I appreciate the little things in life and really do love to laugh.Outside of work and relaxing I have a couple of passions. I've been bitten by the travel bug and hope to see more of the world and the US. It'd be difficult for me to turn down an opportunity to see more of NYC or DC, however there are plenty of new places on my wish list also. I've recently discovered photography and hope to take a class or two in the near future. In the mean time I'm exploring other avenues to learn what I can.I don't have a long list of "must-haves" for the man in my life. Among the most important is that he should share my faith/values. I hope to start a family and believe that shared beliefs are vital to being successful spouses and parents.Like you, I've loved and lost, but I'm hopeful about the future. I believe the best is yet to come, are you the one to share it with me? I'd like to keep things simple, maybe bowling, putt-putt golf, a trip to the zoo, or something similar. I think it'd be nice to do something fun and still allow the opportunity to talk and get to know one another.- I'll just say my all time high score was in the double digits and leave it at that! It's also been years since I played putt-putt. On the bright side, we'll spend a good portion of the evening laughing. :-)
