I’m a CA so yes, I like math and thick plastic rimmed glasses, but I’m equally into art, design, fashion and anything cultural. I love local events like Pecha Kucha or the Eastside Culture Crawl -I’m really into skiing and am so grateful to live so close to one of the top ski resorts in the world - gets me through our wet winters. Yoga keeps me from getting too crazy. Running makes me happy (afterwards). I feel I am a kind-hearted and enthusiastic person. I love to spend time with others--that's how I recharge my batteries! I sing in a choir, I work a great deal, and I do my best to be active and try new things. I love eating in great restaurants and more recently am doing baking and cooking for friends.I pride myself on being pretty versatile! I love the farm life and the city life***especially the cuisine!I very recently lost my sweet dog and beloved companion to cancer so I am adjusting my life of dog beaches and early rain walks to something different. It is harder than I thought! Seems like many people understand that connection with a wonderful dog-friend though, and I am lucky to be surrounded by family and friends.~~~--loved every minute. It was like a dream... A fabulous month away.Now back to work.. but somehow I don't mind at all after all that joy!I have also just finished my graduate degree and am loving my new role in education. I spend most of my time at work these days, but would love to create some balance (as everyone seems to say!).I am lucky to have some truly wonderful friends but many of them have children and not much time for nights out on the town little trips away on weekends, or even just cozy nights at home. A job offer with a great company in the Oil & Gas Industry brought me west in ***after I graduated from university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I love to travel! I’ South America is the only, of the five warm continents, I’ve yet to visit.As my profile mentions above, I’m a bookworm. I am even a member of a book club, but it’s more a monthly social gathering with great company in a great Calgary restaurant to enjoy conversation over a glass of wine. Yes, there are actually books involved. They get maybe 15 minutes worth of discussion during the evening.Besides travelling & reading, I enjoy going to the gym and yoga, spending time with friends and my dog. I love family time as well, but it is limited since it involves flying east and eventually to Australia when my sister moves there next year.I have a slight addiction to tattoos though my pain tolerance is degrading with every visit.
