I'm originally from Calgary but have lived a few years abroad. I am very comfortable in social settings and can hold my own but I'm an introvert at heart (I can sometimes be a homebody). To this end, having a post-secondary education and having actually finished one is an asset. Having said this, developing your spiritual and emotional side trumps anything you learn in the classroom. On this note I'm definitely more spiritual than religious, I do however relate more to christianity. I'm still exploring this area and "continuous improvement" is what I seek. I feel I am a kind-hearted and enthusiastic person. I love to spend time with others--that's how I recharge my batteries! I sing in a choir, I work a great deal, and I do my best to be active and try new things. I love the farm life and the city life***especially the cuisine!I very recently lost my sweet dog and beloved companion to cancer so I am adjusting my life of dog beaches and early rain walks to something different. It was like a dream... A fabulous month away.Now back to work.. but somehow I don't mind at all after all that joy!I have also just finished my graduate degree and am loving my new role in education. I spend most of my time at work these days, but would love to create some balance (as everyone seems to say!).I am lucky to have some truly wonderful friends but many of them have children and not much time for nights out on the town little trips away on weekends, or even just cozy nights at home.
