I have a successful career that I love, which enables me to pay my bills, procure grown up furniture, take vacations and buy proper groceries. I relish the simple things: a song that causes toes to tap unexpectedly, sharing smiles, a grounding yoga practice, the perfect coffee, books on blankets on sunny days.I appreciate good conversation, witty banter, confidence, intelligence and charisma. I can hold my own and accept a challenge and believe that being 'right', pales in comparison, to being heard, validated and honoured. I am not perfect; I make mistakes, daily and I own them, learn from them and laugh, cry, swear and misuse semi-colons like the rest of them. I am not a morning person, but I certainly try my best. I am not a partier and prefer group dinners and art openings to dance parties, but I will dance with you, if the mood strikes and the moment requires that kind of spontaneity.     While I have a great career, it does keep me busy. Work-life balance is important to me though, so when I’ As a typical Vancouverite, I also have an on-again/off-again relationship with yoga. I'm hoping to improve my non-existant golf game - if you have any pointers I’d love to have a lesson. I do have to confess to being a bit of a geek – I love my Mac, Kobo eReader, movies like the Avengers and can always be convinced to enjoy a good board game (latest and greatest = Cards Against Humanity). If you love food, you’re in luck – I’m a great cook! I also love baking, and my specialty is ..... cupcakes and a delicious low-fat cheesecake made with yogurt ... really it is delicious. I’ve always been a bit of a water baby – I’ve tried surfing a few times, most recently on a trip to Australia and New Zealand. I'm also newish to scuba diving. Which leads me to my next passion – travel! Last year I was in New Zealand and Sydney, the year before I visited Chile and Argentina, and I’ve spent time backpacking in Europe twice. I have also had two incredible trips to Japan, and added a jaunt to Beijing onto the last one. I feel so lucky to have been able to see so much of the world, and I’My best friends would describe me as intelligent, goal-oriented, fun, honest, caring and open to trying new things. I’m always up for a new adventure!I’m looking for someone who shares my desire to try new things and explore the world. I hope you can enjoy the finer things in life (like a good bottle of wine or an art gallery), but are just as comfortable seeing the world with a backpack on your shoulders or watching a Canucks game with friends.
