Hi! I am a very proud mother to a handsome 8 year old boy with autism. I won't sugar coat it and pretend its easy to parent a child with autism, because its not, but it is rewarding and it is my life. I have worked in child care for over 15 years and am currently working as a teacher at a local preschool. I'm kind of a homebody but enjoy getting out when I can. I'm low maintenance and you'll never catch me boasting about a ***dollar purse or pair of shoes when there's people starving in this world. I'm fairly independent and definitely not desperate although I am anxious to find "the one". It's all about quality not quantity, I would love to find someone looking for a family not just a date. Lastly, I'm sure this wont get me many fans here in the "bible belt" but I am very liberal in politics and my religious views. I am a Christian and tend to follow many of the same principles as many universalists. I have two great kids, one with some difficult behaviors at times. I don't drive a brand new car. I have a part-time job that I love and I get by.
