Hi! I am a very proud mother to a handsome 8 year old boy with autism. I won't sugar coat it and pretend its easy to parent a child with autism, because its not, but it is rewarding and it is my life. That being said, if you aren't looking for a serious committed relationship then please move along. I have zero tolerance for bs. Period. Ahem... I have worked in child care for over 15 years and am currently working as a teacher at a local preschool. I'm kind of a homebody but enjoy getting out when I can. I'm definitely past the bar and partying hard days and look forward more to fun that can involve the whole family. I'm not a size 8 or a size 16. I'm pretty average and I'm totally ok with that. Although, I wouldn't mind finding someone who inspires me to be better, in any way. I'm very sarcastic and love anyone who can make me laugh I'm a simple woman and try to focus on the things that are really important in life. I'm low maintenance and you'll never catch me boasting about a ***dollar purse or pair of shoes when there's people starving in this world. I'm fairly independent and definitely not desperate although I am anxious to find "the one". It's all about quality not quantity, I would love to find someone looking for a family not just a date. Lastly, I'm sure this wont get me many fans here in the "bible belt" but I am very liberal in politics and my religious views. I am a Christian and tend to follow many of the same principles as many universalists. I enjoy spending time at home - whether it be reading, watching tv/movies/sports, playing board games or just relaxing. But I'm not a homebody. I also want to get out of the house and enjoy what the area has to offer. It could be dinner, movies, mini golf, arcade or walking downtown. I love to drive around for no reason. Day trips to nearby areas are a ton of fun as well. Basically, in a relationship, I just want to spend time with that special person in my life. I'm looking for a self-sufficient, trustworthy, dependable & funny man. I'm at a point in my life where I have a career, own a home & manage my responsibilities. I would like to find a companion in a similar place in life. I've been down the 'unemployed with no ambition' road as well as the 'sort of going back to school' road in past relationships and those are roads I no longer wish to travel. I need someone who understands that yelling at the tv during a game is perfectly acceptable and that superstitions do often work when it comes to your favorite team. :-)I'm not looking to play games or waste anyone's time - of that I can assure you. I only want to find someone who I can spend time with, laugh with, and make memories together. Hopefully, it will ultimately result in a lifetime of shared memories - but only time will tell.
