About Me

I'm a quirky kinda of girl. I grew up a tom boy and although sometimes I like wearing a dress and skirt, I honestly feel more comfy in jeans and flip flops. My feet HATE being in shoes! I will wear flip flops year round, and I even keep a pair at work :) I am a crafty kind of girl (no not in the Beastie Boys kinda crafty way). I love to cook and bake which makes it hard to scale down recipes for only 1 person. That being said, I'm not afraid of leftovers lol. I love taking my dog Hunny to dog park, the beach or for hikes. My friends would describe me as a great car dancer, good listener, shy, funny, and sometimes out there. I do tend to have a "sailors mouth" when I get upset, but that is a rare thing. I have also picked up knitting over the past year or so and enjoy making things for people out of a ball of yarn. Along with making things I guess I could include making cleaning products like laundry soap. I know stupid but way cheap :) Oh and I am starting to look into apartment gardening.Let's see, what else. Movies: I am not a Rom-com, chick flick kind of girl. I do have some chick flick movies, but the majority of them are Sci Fi, Comedy, and even action. I also own The Beatles "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help". Music: I know it sound cliche, but yes I do listen to everything, although I do tend to stay with country, 91X and 94.9 majority of the time. Is an abusive relationship, but hey, I do love them :)Family is very important to me. I have a large "family" althought only 4 are real family. The other 4 are my sons adoptive family. He knows who I am and we have a great bond. His entire family has taken me in as one of their own and therefore, they are family.I have only scratched the surface of me, so if you want to know anything else, feel free to ask :) Ahhhh the dreaded 1st date question. I'm sure most girls are like "Dinners and drinks" or "Let's go to the beach". Me, its not really a date the 1st time we meet so how about just coffee or something where we can talk :)

    I have been back up here for 10yrs now, but feel torn between what I consider "home". I love to visit new places and have not been to nearly as many as I'd like. So far I have traveled to just a few of the major US cities. Filling my passport is high on my list of things to accomplish, I want to see the world! (but first I need a passport).I am a great mix of book smart and street smart but I am not a college graduate... I am not even a college attendee.I was accepted into a few schools after HS and like the "smart" girl I thought I was, I chose Love over Education... I cannot possibly sum up all the facets of what make me ME in a paragraph or two, it's all just words, words, words, blah blah, more words. My quick wit and charm are all lost here... What I can tell you about myself is I am kind, down to earth, well mannered, playful, affectionate, happy... and ready to meet someone who makes me smile and laugh and is fun to be with, regardless of what we're doing... Dating shouldn't feel like hard work, that's what my ***is for. Of course I know there are challenges that come with the territory, but I don't think I am asking for too much... I do ask that you enjoy Baseball, as it is one of my Favorite Past-times... It is OK for you to root for a team other than Mine. Take Care.

    Ahh to talk about myself... well here it goes....I am out-going yet sometimes shy. I love my job which can be time consuming sometimes and not at all other times. Love almost all types of music and can't live without it! Prefer to be outdoors when I'm not working! I spend a lot of time with family, my nieces and new nephew are 3 of my favorite people! My friends are like family though they are spread out across the country, I luckily still have many opportunities to visit them. I'm easy-going yet will let you know if I have an opinion, and don't sweat the small stuff. Learning Spanish...just started, but fun! Love a night out with friends, sporting event, comedy (I love to laugh), bike ride to happy hour, live music (not into clubs) and also being home cooking dinner with a nice glass of wine or good craft beer! And ultimately looking for that person that you call when you're having a rough one or when something amazing happens, and to be that for someone else! A drink or cup of coffee....ya know just to see :)
