About Me

Here is my start with more to come ... I am happy, honest, and am told vivacious. I smile a lot, I laugh a lot, I almost always have a song that I am singing internally. I will always chose to see the glass half full so have been able to experience many adventures with a great attitude and to laugh at those which have not been so wonderful. I am feminine, intelligent, easy going, adventurous, confident, secure, and very prone to make mistakes (which I will laugh about) :). I believe in "chemistry" but I am aware that a good, solid relationship requires a chemistry that grows and continues over time well beyond the initial spark. That being said, there must be something initially which attracts me to someone and this something is far deeper than a person's physical appearance. I enjoy life and have especially enjoyed being a parent. My children are now grown; one still in college and one just graduated and beginning her "new life". So now, it's my turn :)IMy hobbies are varied from the physical pursuits; cycling, hiking, skiing, crossfit, ( this October I participated and completed the Tough Mudder which was an amazing experience) ... to the arts;;tinker"). I enjoy movies, learning opportunities, spirited discussions, and just time "hanging around". My musical tastes are varied from classic rock, a little country, and the newer sounds. I love to dance so music is in my spirit. I read a variety of genres. Probably one of the most important books I have read and try to live by is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz (not always easy to put in practice).I am interested in meeting a man who loves life and the challenges it brings, who wants to travel and explore locally, domestically, and internationally, is fit and active and loves the outdoors, is kind and caring and wants to take time to become friends first rather than leaping into a short term relationship based strictly on our physical chemistry (Not that there is anything wrong with that physical lust which we all love ... I just want to develop something in addition to :) )I look pretty good in a nice pair of jeans, dress, hiking boots, high heels, a bikini, an evening dress ... I am a bit shy about making the "first move", please excuse this part of my upbringing, so I will do my best to let you know I am interested.     I enjoy relationship!! I like to ask lots of questions. I want to know about your past, your hopes for the future, your favorite birthday memories, your least favorite birthday memories (those make for great stories, unfortunately), etc. I want to know and be known. My faith is of primary importance to me. However, I have issues with current Christian culture and am not a typical churchgoer. I am hoping to find someone who feels the same about expressing their faith in practical and non-religious ways.My kids are leaving the nest and making their own way in the world. That places me in the strange place of being independent and yet very tethered at the same time. It's a tough one to explain...so I won't even try. :)I was married for 21 years and have been separated for over two years. Getting divorced has been a long and miserable process. I'm hoping that the end is in sight!! I'm a little hesitant to plan anything too detailed for a first date. I think a quick coffee is a good choice, though not the most creative or romantic option; those can come later when it doesn't feel so weird (am I the only one who feels so awkward on that first "meet and greet"?).

    ...Fla in the winter and cruise up north for the summer...not much to ask for...RIGHT?? I love all animals, the beach,swimmming, fishing, or just crusing around. Parks are nice but sometimes boring. Boardwalks are always amusing.....My kids are 19 and 21,one in college, the other on her own. I love watching my son play ball in college...I think of myself as very fun to be around. Love to laugh alot and have someone to make me laugh. I look at the glass half full and sometimes overflowing, so if your one of those that finds fault and "oh no what would happen if" and is a downer.
