I'm looking for that diamond in the rough, with a great smile, a sense of humor and who's easy to be around. Just an all American great guy, really. He... has morals and integrity... is kind and considerate... well balanced... with no strange hang-ups. He is a confident and positive person with varying interests like myself. He values health by staying in shape and eating right (most of the time). Let's face it, it takes more effort as we get older! What I believe- I still believe in the Golden Rule- treat others the way you would like to be treated. I've found generally, it is when we forget that rule- that we find ourselves in conflict. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, because we all deserve it most of the time. My motto is, the often used cliche', "mean people suck" They really do. Let's be kind. I think we can never have too many friends! I was raised with good old fashion southern values, and believe we can always improve ourselves. I also believe we have miracles all around us, if we open our eyes. I love all animals, babies, children and people in general, unless you're just downright evil or absolutely clueless and refuse to own up to anything. I have to admit, I've only met one person who falls into that last category. I do believe all God's creatures deserve to be treated with respect, including children.I realize how mushy and corny all that may sound, but those are my core beliefs. I'm up for almost anything at least once, sort of a girly-girl tom-boy. Like to be active or reading by a fire, entertaining or watching a great movie, it's all good, if the company you keep is, as well! A first date for me would be simple and uncomplicated. Maybe coffee or a glass of wine, or dinner with a great view, while getting to know each other. If you make me laugh, not just a haha laugh, but a roll on the floor laugh.. well, there might just be a spark! We'll both know if it's right. It should be easy.

Woman. 54 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.
Looking for: man. In age: 51-61
Do you open your windows in early spring, even when it's raining? Do you know the difference between Baroque and Renaissance architecture? Is your book collection bulging off of your shelves and spilling onto the end tables of your livingroom?;formal"? When you walk into a friends's house, what's the first thing you notice? Perhaps friends view you as a tiny bit quirky, yet thoughtful, reliable and grounded. Do you look at people with a blank expression when they ask you "who will be this year's Best Drama Series?" Is there sometimes dirt under your fingernails and mud in the tread of your hiking boots?I have a reliable, fantastic job, but off the clock I paint; sometimes, big oversized murals, sometimes canvas-sized paintings. My love of art and literature spills over into my personal and professional life. But don't give me the artsy stereotype; I have a grasp of economics and business and am not afraid to use it.It's been almost four years since my divorce and most of the scales have fallen from my eyes! I cherish my family and friends, count my enormous collection of blessings each day, and look forward to a relationship that is tender, thoughtful and nourishing. If you have a couple bumps and scars, it probably means that you have acquired some wisdom along the way. Let's share a bit of our vision with each other! Personally, I'm healthy, fit, active and a little snarky. How about you? I am standing in the tower waving a rose! You leap off of your steed, climb the roof to my balcony and declare that we have reservations at the Dashpoint Lobster Shop!In lieu of that, I'm game for coffee or ice cream. The rose, really, is optional!

Looking for: man. In age: 52-62
Staring at the empty page is quite intimidating.... let me just go for it, and hopefully the result is legible and coherent. I live life with great passion and pride myself on being a healthy and happy individual. I am very active in supporting the arts - from the symphony and opera, to ballet to SAM - I count myself fortunate to live in this great city. Family is very important to me, as are dear friends I have welcomed into my life.I am very much a city gal, and do not normally spend too much time in nature. When I take vacations I love to hike and trek on amazing paths, but in my normal life that is not something I pursue.I am an avid reader, and love a great conversation. My areas of interests are vast including history (particularly WWII), social issues and biographies. I tend to be a-political, as such conversations can become quite animated and challenging to navigate...Professionally I am a CEO of a company, and so my schedule tends to be very hectic and involve frequent travel. This stated, I have great passion for my company, industry and career. I count my many blessings daily. I would love to add a partner to that count. Over the past years I have felt increasingly alone, yet have not been successful in my search. I would love to welcome into my life a professional in my age group that is intelligent, worldly, passionate about life and interesting. I know, a tall order but there you have it... A simple meal - small restaurant, great food, quiet comfortable ambiance in which we can get to know each other. Casual dress... being real and honest.
