About Me

I am blessed with a wonderful life including many loving family & friends; little else matters. I'm self sufficient + looking for same. I have a home & car & hope you do too. I seek a man to become intimate with-over time, but not in a hurry. I'm neither desperate nor co-dependent. I know how to be alone & quiet & enjoy my own company. However, though capable of fun on my own, I want HIM, a fun man to ENJOY & Share life with. I am not a drama queen, and NO, I don't like drama kings (yes, there are many) I'm very outgoing, yet private. I don't like gossip at all. I very much enjoy getting out in the world. I also enjoy a back yard cook-out. I'm not a tv junkie, prefer to pre-record "fave" shows (of which there are few) to view when not busy, like when it's raining & choices are limited. I love new & old music, live or radio or iPod or CD. I would enjoy an active man, yet, what I really want+need is a fellow with some smarts, a good conversationalist to hold my interest.The past is in the past. Married once, now divorced, I do not think it healthy we talk much about X's. A brief conversation is often needed to understand a persons perspective, but moving on is what life's about, after a loss from death, divorce or what have you... the FUTURE is my focus... and it MUST include JOY. I am looking for what I AM: honest & genuine, serious at times, silly others... hard working (smarter not harder is good too) I have a best friend with advanced cancer now (as I type this) and I KNOW life is Short & Precious. I want to live it. I DO LIVE IT. Want to join me? I don't & won't spend much time typing back-n-forth, as I prefer to meet in person because it is most revealing. Our 1st "date" (if we get that far) will be after our 1st "meeting-introduction" and that can be "Dutch Treat"... worry not, as I'm not looking for a free drink or meal... I don't consider meeting someone for the first time your first date. You first date is hopefully something a little more involved than the first time you met. The first "meeting" could be a number of things but what it shouldn't be is a movie. I mean how well can you get to know someone sitting at a movie where you are not supposed to talk? It should be over coffee (or a soda as I don't drink coffee) or a walk on a pier or a beach, or sitting in a park somewhere where there are other people around.Needless to say, after we have met, first dates can be a whole other story......
