About Me

Driven but spontaneous, classy but fun, guarded but open, girl (I still feel that way, always will no matter what age), who wants to meet real men not boys just wanting to play. I'm comfortable alone, don't hop relationship to relationship and have no desire to date in quantity but prefer quality, integrity and a great sense of humor. I enjoy real conversations not talking just to hear your own voice. Pretty independent by nature so those needing to text, talk, *** stalk daily before getting to know me need not apply. I love to travel, to be around beautiful things, to play outdoors especially on or near the water which brings me great peace. I've been called the whole package before, just trying to find the right one to deliver it to. Tell me why it might be you. I hate dates to be honest, so if we can call meeting anything but a date... I'm open to suggestions.

In fact, I’m never, ever bored. I don’t sit around watching tv like most people I meet. I actually don’t even have tv service. I occasionally find tv shows online that I want to follow, so I might watch one show a week. I love movies and books, though. I take a stack out of the library every week. And though I can’t play an ***, I always have music in earshot. Particularly classical, bluegrass, celtic and folk. I used to work for PBS, and all my news comes from NPR or people I talk to. I’ve run my own small shop and still keep up a small business. I’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit, without a doubt, and I’m full of ideas. I believe in working hard, but not if it isn’t fun or fulfilling. It ought to be about more than the money. I like to lose myself in making things in many different media. I love old junk that can be made into something else, and I especially love the hunting and scouting, the poking and pawing for treasure. I love all kinds of art. I love beauty anywhere I can find it, in galleries, in books, in nature, in food, in music, in dance, in film, in architecture. I love people who are not self-centered, but those who have compassion and generosity, and real caring for their fellow humans of all kinds, and for the earth, and think about the big questions.I’ve had a lot of money, and a very little, and it doesn’t really matter that much to me. I wish I could never think about it at all. I’m ridiculously optimistic and genuinely pretty consistently cheerful (ask anyone!), though I’ve had my share of troubles, like most people. I'm a cancer survivor, and I’ve raised two kind, intelligent, hard working children, who are really independent and adventurous.I love to travel too, and I’ I adored every minute. I want to experience other cultures and see the rest of the world, but not alone. I am striving to live life larger, but practical considerations are getting in the way! I love this small town where I feel so safe, and people are so kind, and I have so many friends, but I’d sure like to feel the sun on my face more than 56 days a year and have plays and galleries and concerts at my fingertips. I’d like to have some kind of balance between the city and the country, because I love them both, just neither all the time. I’m a crazy romantic, in spite of a lot of heartache. So much so, that I do wedding styling. I love using my creative talents to help to give people one of the happiest days of their lives. It’s wrapped up in how much I love flowers too. I’m not afraid to be what some think is outrageous because I like to have fun, and I don’t need anyone’s approval. Masquerade ball? Mardi Gras? Evening gown and the opera? Oh yea. I love it. And champagne. I love champagne. And fresh oysters. And don’t forget the lobster.

Time for some new material! Wow this sh*tis getting old! Let's get this straight right from the start: my pictures are current ( accept for the obvious) ... I am not 40 lbs heavier nor 10 years older than my photos imply. In fact - most I meet say my pictures don't do me justice. I digress ...I am nervous at the thought of dating. I am nervous at the thought of growing old by myself. This internet dating does not feel natural, but then again, neither does celibacy. Hope it's like riding a bike. Id like to meet someone before my toenails become an issue ; )I work hard, I play hard i pay my bills and I am relatively debt free.S. See the northern lights. See an NFL game. Go on a hot air balloon ride. Zip line. Travel to as many places in the world as possible. Go to more baseball games. write my memoirs. lots more . . . but most of all - I would like to be loved for who I am. It is unbelievably beautiful and peaceful. It brings a calmness to my soul. I Also have land in the woods that I would love to build a hunting cabin on someday - I don't hunt, but I don't mind those who do. Actually, would love a nice "trophy" on the wall - or a bearskin rug in front of the fireplace!! I have not seen enough of that incredibly gorgeous state.I tend to babble on the phone when I'm nervous. I bite my lips. I laugh at inappropriate times and cry at sad movies. I love to cook. I have been told I am a dycotomy; a mix of old-fashioned and modern. Indepedant and strong, but vulnerable and a bit naive. My friends would say I am always there to help when it's needed - they would also call me (and do) a "social boob" . . . I do tend to speak too soon and frequently suffer from footinmouth. - I don't think we would get along if you are a bleeding heart liberal. This hope and change ain't workin' for me.Ummm ... Thathathathatsallfolks Somewhere cozy
