In fact, I’m never, ever bored. I don’t sit around watching tv like most people I meet. I actually don’t even have tv service. I occasionally find tv shows online that I want to follow, so I might watch one show a week. I love movies and books, though. I take a stack out of the library every week. And though I can’t play an ***, I always have music in earshot. Particularly classical, bluegrass, celtic and folk. I used to work for PBS, and all my news comes from NPR or people I talk to. I’ve run my own small shop and still keep up a small business. I’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit, without a doubt, and I’m full of ideas. I believe in working hard, but not if it isn’t fun or fulfilling. It ought to be about more than the money. I like to lose myself in making things in many different media. I love old junk that can be made into something else, and I especially love the hunting and scouting, the poking and pawing for treasure. I love all kinds of art. I love beauty anywhere I can find it, in galleries, in books, in nature, in food, in music, in dance, in film, in architecture. I love people who are not self-centered, but those who have compassion and generosity, and real caring for their fellow humans of all kinds, and for the earth, and think about the big questions.I’ve had a lot of money, and a very little, and it doesn’t really matter that much to me. I wish I could never think about it at all. I’m ridiculously optimistic and genuinely pretty consistently cheerful (ask anyone!), though I’ve had my share of troubles, like most people. I'm a cancer survivor, and I’ve raised two kind, intelligent, hard working children, who are really independent and adventurous.I love to travel too, and I’ I adored every minute. I want to experience other cultures and see the rest of the world, but not alone. I am striving to live life larger, but practical considerations are getting in the way! I love this small town where I feel so safe, and people are so kind, and I have so many friends, but I’d sure like to feel the sun on my face more than 56 days a year and have plays and galleries and concerts at my fingertips. I’d like to have some kind of balance between the city and the country, because I love them both, just neither all the time. I’m a crazy romantic, in spite of a lot of heartache. So much so, that I do wedding styling. I love using my creative talents to help to give people one of the happiest days of their lives. It’s wrapped up in how much I love flowers too. I’m not afraid to be what some think is outrageous because I like to have fun, and I don’t need anyone’s approval. Masquerade ball? Mardi Gras? Evening gown and the opera? Oh yea. I love it. And champagne. I love champagne. And fresh oysters. And don’t forget the lobster.
