I am happy, creative, easygoing, and active and am hoping to find someone who shares some of the same characteristics. I am an artist and am pretty ecclectic when it comes to my interests ... from art, to live music, to theater, to sports, to working in my yard. Some of these I like to participate in and others I just enjoy viewing (I'm not an actor or singer but do enjoy seeing others who can do it well). I am a painter and also teach art to young children. I have always been involved in athletics and still enjoy both watching and participating. I like to stay active and would like to enjoy activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking (haven't done this yet, but would love to), biking, etc. with someone who shares these interests. I also love the beach and try to go as often as I can make it. I live fairly close and walk on the beach often, although I do enjoy just laying out or playing in the surf. I am looking for compatibility first ... someone who enjoys some of the same activities although I love learning new things and would enjoy the experience of participating in your favorite pasttime. Kindness and compassion matter and are certainly characteristics I am looking for. I love to laugh and would like to meet someone who has a great sense of humor and can find the humor in most things. I can also be a bit nerdy at times, I guess, since I love to read and enjoy learning ... I never wanted my college experience to end. If you care about others and can be described as a real sweetheart by your friends, we will probably get along just fine. To me it doesn't really matter what the activity is for a first date. It is more important to have a connection to the person you are with. It could be something as simple as meeting for a cup of coffee, and if the connection is there, you know it. I do enjoy having time to talk and get to know you a bit better.

I am a happy, well-adjusted woman who loves life! I have done a myriad of things: disc jockey, diesel mechanic in the Coast Guard, travel agent, executive secretary, newspaper editor, bartender (including a six-year stint in a brothel), drink server on a cruise ship, tasting room manager in a couple of wineries, although not necessarily in that order. My musical tastes run the gamut, with the exceptions of hip-hop, rap, and head-banging, although my personal favorite is Jimmy Buffett. Been a Parrothead since ***! I'm not a girly girl, but I do clean up very nicely and have been told I have great legs. I have a business license, a patent, and love creating neat things, like lamps out of liquor bottles. My own recycling effort, lol! I am very affectionate, giving, and outgoing, but I do enjoy quiet down time. You must appreciate a snuggle bunny and enjoy kisses and hugs. I'm comfortable in my own skin. If you're easily threatened by a self-sufficient woman, please don't respond! I'm not bossy, but I don't appreciate being bossed around, either. I'm extremely capable of taking care of myself, but I'd purely love to find a best friend and soulmate to share the rest of my sunsets. Let's go play! I am open to suggestions...
