About Me

First of all I'd like to say, please post a picture, I did. I want to see who I'm chatting or writing to. Men, old-fashioned manners include taking your hat off in ALL restaurants...I accept people the way they are and expect the same. I am passionate about most things, compassionate, loving. I will always be faithful to the one I love, support him in life's endeavours and his interests, but if I am betrayed in any way he will know my wrath.I like to cuddle and walk hand-in-hand, not just at home. A positive attitude to all life throws at me and lots of laughs help to master life. Life is serious enough to walk around grumpy all the time. I'm honest, usually straight forward, forgiving (everyone deserves a second chance, but if you can't learn from your mistakes you're reading the wrong profile). I feel most comfortable living in a country/rural setting but love to go to town or to the city at times for shopping, a movie, show, dinner, etc. I am an animal lover but would never tolerate a house pet in the bedroom (except the human kind)!     I've decided that it is time I started having fun again. My children are grown now, so I can concentrate on myself and Date again. I have Retired and have been enjoying my new adventures. I am an Adult and expect to be treated as such. I've spent a long time being a responsible and credible lady. And BTW, I would not be blowing up your phone wanting or needing to know where you are and/or what you're doing 80 times a day (like I see others doing). I think that is ridiculous. Why do people do that? So silly to me. Oh, I do love a romantic, well planned out Date. I really enjoy surprises!! Something casual, too begin with, would be fine of course. Better to be relaxed and comfortable, wouldn't you agree? I really love music. Concerts (in a Park) are a wonderful thing! I am insane for the music of the '70's, fyi.     I am currently retired, but may go back to work -- but not right now! I worked in the IT industry for 25 years and a law office for about 5 years. I absolutely love being able to do what I want to do on my own schedule. I am of Catholic faith and I attend mass daily and on the weekend. I am involved in several areas of the church. I very much enjoy doing volunteer work and giving back to the community. I have done work with hospice, working directly with the patience, however I am not current doing this actvity. My real passion is working with the elderly. I am healthy of mind and body and try to stay that way thourgh diet and exercise. Family is very important to me and consider myself to be family oriented.-in-laws, and a bunch of nieces and nephews.I love to travel and do have a passport. Who would like to take me?I am an independent girl meaning I don't need someone to do everything for me, but do enjoy the company of a good wholesome man. I tend to be a little old fashion and like to take things slow in a relationship. I very much enjoy most any activity with my partner. I have always enjoyed anything around the water. I consider myself to be very honest, dependable, and optimistic. The short comings in life never get me down. I can laugh at screwups and don't have some over inflated ego. To me everyday is a new day with new opportunities and challenges. I have a good bit of energy but not as much as a did when I was 25. I exercise 5 to 6 times a week mostly walking and a few classes and a personal trainer. I know that relationships require patience and compromise to be successful. A good first date would be at a restaurant where we could get to know one another. If all goes well, we can stay for dinner, if not we can go our separate ways.
