***WARNING NOVEL IN THE MAKING***About me: First, I am Southern so yes, I do have a Southern Drawl and say; 'Yes Ma'am and No Sir' - I think that I have wonderful morals and character as I was raised by a US Marine who led by example. I am educated, and am the President/CEO of an upstarting Air Ambulance Company on the island of St. I have a background in Emergency Medicine and the Mental Health Industry; much of my focus today is on volunteering and I choose to work with our Wounded Warriors, Alcohol & Substance Abuse as well as Abused Women and Children. I am patriotic and love and support our men/women in the military throughout the world. I have traveled the world and have made so many wonderful friends. I have also been divorced for six years from an outstanding US Marine. He and I today remain the greatest of friends. I have 4-children, they are what make up the four quadrants of my heart. They are incredible men and women. I was a single parent for all but 8 years of their lives so I believe that the individuals that they are today is in fact a reflection of me. With this being said...Moving on with one's life is never easy. My friend's describe me as a woman who is giving, loving, passionate, trustworthy, and funny, who trusts but never easily and who has command presence. I am passionate about passionate subjects, refined and emotionally analytical. I love my life, children, people and animals. I respect myself and am proud of the woman that I have become. I am very tactile (I love walking together hand in hand or arm in arm even from the cars parking place to the grocers) but no groping in public, unless you feel that you must. I'm patient, never lose my cool and have the humility to admit when I'm wrong. I live life to the fullest, and strive for excellence both personally and professionally. I detest snobs, love innocence, drenched in the arts and culture. I read mainly non-fiction though will read almost anything. I do not need nor want a man that is willing to settle for second best. I am a very unique woman who is very secure in who I am. I am not a possession nor am I someone to be owned. Loved...Yes, and in return I will accept love completely, caringly and honestly with a man that has humor, kindness and passion. I am a woman who understands the power of words and the harm of secrecy. Therefore, I am a woman who does not speak around corners; it is straight between the eyes. I like to say about myself; "My horns hold up my halo and strength to get through the fight." Who I hope to find: I long for a man who knows who he is, secure in what he is, proud of what he has become. I am looking for someone to travel and build a life with, emotionally and physically, creating a home and a better future. Sharing the simple things and the grand adventures, a companion who pushes me to be a better person and who is there for me to lean on, occasionally. The one special person that will one day when we are 90, sit back on the porch swing and reminisce with me about all the grand adventures, the trials and tribulations and all of the fun we had together. I love simple things, sitting by the fire having hot chocolate with extra marshmallows, picnics, walks on the beach, sitting under the stars, candlelight, museums, fishing and much, much more.     I decided to do something a little different. If you are open to the idea finish the following passage with your own rendition of what comes next.....She sat there, still and silent, quietly waiting for the sun to come up. The mist was gently retreating across the dark glittering water while she listened to the far off sounds of the loons just across the lake. She seemed indiscernible except for the brightly coloured quilted shawl draped over her shoulders helping to take the chill of the early morning air. To anyone who cared to notice she would appear to be enjoying a long slumberous awakening but in reality she was wide awake and waiting. Eventually she hears the sounds she has been waiting for. The slight little clicks and rattles of the screen door followed by the muted sound of distant footfalls and the soft hiss of an exhaled breath. Someone was approaching. Someone cautiously walked onto the wharf, and she sensed that they stood silently staring at her before bending down to join her. She couldn’t help but nestle her warm weight into his lap while wrapping her quilted shawl snuggly around the two of them. She rested her head just under his chin while he enfolded his strong comforting arms around her. They sat that way for the longest moment just enjoying the other’s presence until he lifted his hand to brush a wayward tress that was tickling his nose. He couldn’t resist stroking his finger down the side of her cheek encouraging her to turn towards the lips that she had been dying to kiss…..Hmmmm....I wonder what does come next? Looking forward to finding out!!!But just in case you are unsure...…someone who is loyal and can appreciate me for just being me…quirks and all…someone I can touch, caress, kiss any time I want just because I can…someone I can turn to for advice if I cannot find a solution on my own…someone to explore with, play with, and enjoy all those quiet moments with…someone beyond the bar scene but who appreciates a great pub, a live concert or two, fine dining on a starry night, or cooking a meal together amongst twinkling smiles and suggestive looks…someone who realizes we would be nowhere without family and friends…who enjoys laughter, friendly banter, time spent outdoors and romance…there are so many things but mainly someone who is not only comfortable around me but enjoys being with me…someone who is himself warts and all…after all it’s the quirks that we eventually fall in love with…and brag to our friends about!Sorry for the mini-novella...but sincerely hope we all find what we are looking for! Ohh and I am now back in the north...northern Quebec that is...as the school year starts early here! For a meet and greet I would suggest a walk, a chat, some vendor hotdogs, lots of laughter, maybe a roadside cafe, a shared smile or a mischievous grin. There are so many options that I am sure we could decide that together. If all goes well I'm sure we could figure out the rest!
