About Me

It is next to impossible to summarize who one truly is in a profile such as this, but I will try to hit some of the high points. First, I can assure you I am not like most women. I am all "Lady", but can also be a bit of a tomboy. There's not much I won't try (unless it involves jumping out of a perfectly good airplane or off a bridge with a rubber band around my ankle). I love animals of all kinds. I am a fairly quiet person until I get to know someone, but I am not shy. Once I get comfortable with someone, I am very outgoing. I love to laugh and have fun, and try to have fun in almost anything I do; but there is also a very serious side of me. I enjoy good music, of most genres but prefer country and blues (no rap, please). I am writing my first book. I also enjoy working out. I went through an extended period of time a few years ago which required me to put myself on the back burner and try to take care of everyone and everything else. I am now attempting to get back to the physical condition I was in before that chapter in my life by getting into a good, healthy work-out routine and eating right. Living healthy is important to me. I like to go out and have fun, but also enjoy spending time at home, relaxing, cuddling up with that someone special and watching a good movie. I believe a relationship between a man and a woman requires 100% dedication. I have been a Christian for 40 years. My relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, is my top priority. I am seeking a Christian man who has the same values. I would like to meet somewhere, for dinner or just coffee, and spend time talking to find out if there is any real chemistry.

Looking for: man. In age: 51-61

I'm restoring an old house ***. Wish I'd paid more attention in geometry class, lol. I have a love hate relationship with it. I love it in the summer, and live like a pioneer in the winter. I try to heat with wood, so yes...I can wesplit my own wood. I love living in a neighborhood that creates such deep friendships.I'm as comfortable in the city as I am in the country. It's all about balance in life. I drive a truck, live mostly in jeans, but will dress up for the symphony or special nights at the museum and I know how to use the correct fork or spoon. I live a pretty quiet life. Books, dogs, antiquing, movies, (miss my horses,) walks, boating, long drives, Autumn days, farmers markets....they keep me content. It's kind of important to me that the man in my life enjoys books. We don't have to enjoy the same things. Diversity makes things more interesting. If you don't have any animals in your life, my crew might overwhelm you. I have 4 dogs and a kitten. To me, there is always room for one more lost or unloved animal. I listen to just about every style of music. I have a little bit of everything in my music cloud. I consider myself an independent vs a left or right wing. While I am not religious, I am quite spiritual. Organized religion isn't me. I am drawn to our Native American's spirituality. Everything has a purpose and ought to be respected. My TV choices find me as boring as everyone else, Criminal Minds, Revolution, Scandal, The Walking Dead... I like the same dramas you probably like. I'm not into the half hour comedies. I enjoy dramas or good scary vs comedy or love story movies. Men that interest me are bright, they think out of the box. They are passionate and compassionate. They are accomplished and sometimes quirky. I enjoy conversation and learning something during those conversions. For me it's your heart and passion, it's also your brain and your thoughts. You are a compassionate man and have humility. You are passionate and have an artistic and altruistic interest in your world. I don't care if you jump out of planes as long as you don't care that I won't. You are confident and have a great sense of humor. Humor is important to me. Sometimes it's all that separates us from going nuts. You have multiple interests and are complex. You are a man that would not walk away from someone or thing in need, you'd get involved. You are creative. Either with your hands or thoughts. Best of both worlds would have you creative in both. I'm sure you probably have some issues, we all do. However, if you have so many that I need to hire a teamster to put them in a cargo hold... we may not be a good fit.I have one pet peeve... illiteracy in a profile keeps me from reading to the end. If this is to work I might as well start off with the disclosure of one of my quirks.I'm self employed. I provide a service for ladies, that by any ones definition, would be considered a luxury . Soooo, with our current economic climate some days are diamonds, some days are jet. This is the awkward area. How do you determine a first date until you've had a chance to talk and learn something about the other. Something breezy, a coffee shop where we can talk. A book store. We can talk and browse. A greenhouse, an antique shop. Heck, I can and do have fun in hardware stores. Let's meet at a park with our dogs and while they play in the water or leaves we can chat.

Still available and searching for a forever friend, partner in crime (NOT) ha ha!... O.K. I don't believe in that myth, but would love to find what some of my friends have found; which is true and enduring love that will stand the test of time! :) I have been single for a long time... mostly because I am fiercely independent, strong willed or whatever. I am cautious, I am responsible, I am in my opinion someone well worth knowing. (Yah, I could go on and on about how posalutely absotively wonderful I am but, I don't make a habit out of bragging! Ha Ha!My pictures are fairly current, at least I DO look like the same person! Hopefully you look like your pic as well (Ok, looks are not THAT important, but honesty IS! :) Hope to hear from you....*********************************************************************************************************************************************************** : ) Because I have a large vein of Alcoholism in my family line that has robbed 2 of my siblings of both their wit and wisdom as well as sobriety in between 'wagon rides', I do NOT have the tolerance to date or even meet someone with issues past or present with addiction. (No I don't care if you are "in recovery" or a regular member of AA, though I wish you well, please do not bother contacting me, for your own good!) As for myself, I seldom have a drink, and I am at a point in my life where I relish peace and peace of mind, and do not wish to get caught up in anyone else's "pity party" or 'new' wagon ride! I am proud of what I have accomplished thus far in my life, and prefer to keep my glass half full, life is too short to let others deplete you or rob you of your joy! I have tried to write this as kindly as possible, so hope no one takes offense.... I think Coffee, soft drinks or ICE CREAM is a great ice breaker when first meeting... that is pretty much as bold as I am in meeting. (Oh, and if you think McDonalds is a good place to meet I am probably NOT the gal for you! Ha Ha!) Maybe a quiet, hole in the wall place for lunch to talk and get to know one another as a first date, provided the first meeting went well. Frisbee? The Zoo? Maybe fishing or a bike ride on the 2nd date, the possibilities are endless.... FREEDOM***!!!***Put this on your***!!!***page if you***!!!!!!!!!!!***know someone in the***!!!***Armed Forces/military !!! or to show your***!!!***support and respect***!!!***to all our troops***!!!***God bless our troops, and Protect them Lord!My intentions for joining (Rejoining) this sight are all good. I would hope to meet the perfect person for me to spend the rest of my life with is out there, somewhere, but seriously I am very realistic and exceedingly cautious. It has been a long time since I have "dated" but am ready to find that special guy! : )
