I don't believe in that myth, but would love to find what some of my friends have found; which is true and enduring love that will stand the test of time! :) I have been single for a long time... mostly because I am fiercely independent, strong willed or whatever. (No I don't care if you are "in recovery" or a regular member of AA, though I wish you well, please do not bother contacting me, for your own good!) As for myself, I seldom have a drink, and I am at a point in my life where I relish peace and peace of mind, and do not wish to get caught up in anyone else's "pity party" or 'new' wagon ride! I am proud of what I have accomplished thus far in my life, and prefer to keep my glass half full, life is too short to let others deplete you or rob you of your joy! I have tried to write this as kindly as possible, so hope no one takes offense.... I think Coffee, soft drinks or ICE CREAM is a great ice breaker when first meeting... that is pretty much as bold as I am in meeting. (Oh, and if you think McDonalds is a good place to meet I am probably NOT the gal for you! Ha Ha!) Maybe a quiet, hole in the wall place for lunch to talk and get to know one another as a first date, provided the first meeting went well. Frisbee? The Zoo? Maybe fishing or a bike ride on the 2nd date, the possibilities are endless.... I am easy going, flexible, and usually in a good mood. I am a night owl and I don't like to get up until the last minute. I have tried to change this my whole life, but that is just how I am wired. My work is kinda crazy so I sometimes need to wind down afterwards and recharge (take a nap) but then I am ready to go do something fun. I go out a lot...some guys may not like that. I am not much of a drinker so I don't spend a lot of money and I always go out with the same group of friends to hear live music. I like this and would like to meet someone who would enjoy going with me a couple times per week. I would love to go with you to do what you enjoy too. And, I would love to stay in a couple nights and cook something together and sit outside and relax and talk. I have a swimming pool and I also have a lot of flowers and a small herb garden that all keep me busy besides the usual housework etc. But, I somehow manage to do my chores and have a pretty active social life. I have 3 cats (all were strays) who keep me laughing at their antics. Besides, music, I love Cardinals and Redbirds baseball and love to travel. I am a devoted Jesus Follower, but I dont' have a judmental bone in my body. I have not walked in your shoes so I won't judge you. I am often told that I am friendly, kind, and that I never meet a stranger. I am always smiling and talking to everybody. WARNING: I talk too much and recently told some friends that I was going to try to see about reading a book or going to a class about talking less and my friends told me not to change a bit because I was the one who made everyone else feel comfortable. But, I know I need to stop talking so much. I have a decent IQ and I think too much haha and I guess I have a lot to say! . OH, and I make lye soap and i play the guitar and sing. Or we could go downtown and ride the trolley and visit the farmer's marker and maybe find a neat place to eat. I like going to the Redbirds too.

About me.. hmmmm.. I hate doing this stuff. I'm a pretty laid back, easy going mom of 3 sons who are 24, 18 and 16. The youngest is still in High School and plays football and baseball, so I spend some time watching him play. My middle son was in a local band and is in process of being in another one. I like to go watch them play. I'm not much in the bar/club scene. I am a BIG Texans fan and will always be watching their games with my boys. I love visiting the country but am ready to get back to my city life. I'm a native Houstonian, from a long time native Texan family. I don't like drama and try to stay drama free.
