I have much in life to feel Blessed and Thankful for. IF I could spend each day smiling, laughing & enjoying all life has to offer what more could I ask for? Of course there is more to each day than fun, BUT, I do try to look for the positive. I'm considered by most to have a young spirit. I feel younger than my years. .One of God's many blessings in my life. I enjoy life and love to have fun...But I also like my time at home. I like a variety of different activities and I am open to new adventures. I am embarking on some new ways to new positive additions or self improvement because I believe we always have room to improve or add to our " Resume of Life". I am an intelligent person I have a definite fun humorous side, but also a serious focused side. I consider myself sensual, grounded, and very giving. I want to enjoy life with that special man beside me and would love to share some interests or hobbies together. My friends say I am fun, and outgoing. I like to get to know people. I embrace a stimulating conversation and love hearing a person's experiences and exchanging stories. I love to laugh and enjoy a good sense of humor, but I also am sensitive to others feelings, losses and pain. I am passionate of the people I love both family and friends.I love life’s adventures and am always open to trying new things as long as they don't border on extreme or death defying. I enjoy getting out canoeing, discovering new hiking areas or state parks, fishing and boating or just relaxing in the sun on a warm day. I like bowling, shooting pool, still trying to brush up my on my pool game. I like movies, sporting events, and reading. I enjoy cooking more for others than myself, I like traveling, love listening to live music and concerts, I have a wide range of music likes. R& I have some favorite bands I like to go listen to and maybe even get out and dance.Everyone seems to have a certain criteria that their future match must have, such as income bracket or material things, while all of that may be nice it doesn't hold the same importance for me. The quality of the person is much more important than what they bring materialistically speaking. I have learned that I appreciate different types of people, I want someone to share life's adventures with. I would like someone who enjoys conversation, cuddling and kissing, I truly miss that about being single. I am open to try new things and hope that is reciprocated. I have a bit of romantic in me and definitely would love to develop more in that area. I think the first steps in dating are about getting to know each other and I think I would like to keep a first date as a time to get to know each other more, putting less focus on what we will do and more focus on conversation and how we connect.

    I'm a retired teacher. I had a second grade classroom for most of my career, but I also taught small groups from grades 1-8. Since retiring I have done volunteer work for the Humane Society (in the office) and the American Cancer Society (driving patients). I have also acquired some rental properties. Two of them were older homes which I renovated, doing as much work myself as I was able to. I really enjoy the creative process of envisioning a more practical, beautiful home, and then choosing the improvements, colors, and materials to make that a reality. My favorite renovation is now a vacation rental, and I loved being able to take the further step of decorating the home (on a budget!), refinishing furniture, sewing curtains and pillows, and creating artwork.I adore animals, especially my own dog and two cats, all of them rescues. I love going to movies, concerts, and live theater--all things that inspire us and connect us to the human race. I get a kick out of trying new foods and recipes and exploring new places. I enjoy reading and learning about many things, including nutrition and health. Finding a beautifully written book is a real thrill. I enjoy a wide variety of music, from classical to pop--pretty much anything but heavy metal or rap.--Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Mama Mia, etc. I love hiking, as long as I can take my time. Climbing to the top of Mount Aeneas this summer was such a treat. It offers ***degree views from what feels like the top of the world. I am positive, friendly, quiet, kind, dependable, playful, and down to earth. I love intelligent conversation and the sharing of thoughts and ideas. My viewpoint is usually liberal. I strongly believe in human rights, and in treating all others with respect and dignity regardless of race, religion, sexual preference, or personal choices. I was raised Lutheran, and later attended Methodist and non-denominational churches. Although I no longer attend church, I continually strive to grow in my spiritual life. I have a broader view of God now and the connectedness of all creation. I am influenced by the works of Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, and Dr. Seuss.I’m looking for a genuine, gentle man with inner strength, who is relaxed and easy going, intelligent, fun to be with, open minded,. and respectful of all others. I want to find someone who laughs easily, but never at the expense of others, who feels childlike enthusiasm over life’s little pleasures, and who accepts me as I am, yet inspires me to be more. A good first date would offer opportunity for conversation.
