About Me

I am a self-proclaimed globe trotter & citizen of the world. I enjoy meeting and learning about new cultures, their foods, music, and people. I have visited more than 6 countries and lived in three for more than one month. I am looking forward to more adventures around the globe as I scratch off the different countries on my list.Being a grad student and working towards completing my PhD, I haven't really had much free time lately. But when I do come across those days, I cherish them since I get to decide between enjoying a relaxing time at the beach, reading non-academic books, and listening to good music. I also like to go on group activities and trips whether kayaking, biking, roller skating, or going to attraction parks. On other days, specially if it's raining, I prefer to catch up on my shows and other movies that I've missed, playing my guitar, cooking, and baking. Friends say that a smile never leaves my face and that on days when I am extremely happy my eyes are even "smiling". I was told I speak perfect English but I still catch myself saying words with a slight French or Arabic accent. I'm looking to enjoy fun and witty conversations with a mature man. Someone who is interested in what I do and study. Someone who at the end of a long day would enjoy unwinding and relaxing either by cooking dinner together, having a drink and listening to music, or watching comedy.

Well I decided to give this a shot. I'm Brittany. 24. Single. 2 cats and a dog. I'm an xray tech. I love my job and think that is very important in life. I hate the generic question what do you do for fun. It is very unoriginal and there is 90% chance I won't response to it. Im a sucker for guys in baseball hats. I'm not sure what else to say but I'm open to questions. Definitely NOT dinner and a movie. I think it is old school and just plain awkward.

Warning: Slight wall o' text here... I can't imagine living anywhere else and plan to live the rest of my life here! I will admit that you can still find me supporting the Rockies and the Broncos, as long as they're not playing my home city. Haha.In my spare time I like to do a variety of things. I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors and am willing to do almost anything once. When it comes to new things I often think: "I won't know if I like it until I try it!". I also enjoy the quiet nights at home watching a movie, or just doing house stuff listening to ambient music, doing game night or a monthly dinner where all my best friends come over and eat and laugh and share stories. It's a good time. One of my favorite things to do is run. I'll run around my neighborhood, at the gym for a warm up and for charities with a couple close friends of mine who like to do the same (5k/10k/15ks), it is always fun running in a group. About 18 months ago I wasn't able to jog a block and now I average a 9:30 mile....which I think is pretty sweet. I am a level headed, responsible young woman who is very ambitious. I have quite a few goals, short and long term, I envision them and I set out to accomplish them; which means I am very patient. I always remind myself to not sacrifice what I want most for what I want now. It's worth the wait. This year was my first year gardening, and I just absolutely love it. I am looking forward to learning more and eventually being able to harvest herbs and veggies all year long and over time, would like to have my backyard converted into a series of raised garden beds/greenhouses to do that. I wasn't the kid to go to college right after high school. Matter of fact, I left high school my junior year to work full time and make as much money as I could. I got hooked up with some good paying jobs back then, and have been working full time since I was 16. I did finish high school though and I finally figured out what it is that I want to go to college for. At 24, I am finally starting college courses and pursuing a degree in dietetics. I am big into holistic health, spiritual awareness & healing, alternative medicine, and letting food be my cure for, well, anything really. I want to be as self-sufficient and natural living as possible. But don't worry, I won't ever let myself turn into a stinky, dread-lock having, potato sack wearing person because of it. I have a great job that I have been at for quite a while now, my bosses love me and I love them, so job security isn't a problem. I am financially secure and responsible which is a very important factor for myself and my own life, but also in that of a significant other. I have specific plans for the next several years of how I will graduate college virtually debt free, so, like other areas in my life that I have goals for, I live quite modestly. I drive an older paid off car, I don't have brand new shoes or clothes every month, I don't go get my nails done, I don't dye my hair, I don't eat out often if at all, and I rarely ever spend impulsively. I sound super strict, but it's self discipline, and I actually like my natural nails and hair color. I should add that I definitely know how to loosen the ropes, lighten up and have fun. Although I don't drink or party, I don't need those substances to have a good time. My family, friends and co-workers will all agree and tell you that I am one person that doesn't need those things to be a pleasure to be around. I am fun, quirky, silly, energetic, happy, not jaded, and completely bad-ass. I have a long list of references if you need to check! ;-)And as far as my taste in music is concerned, it is pretty variable, I'll listen to everything. It just really depends on my mood what I want to listen to for that day, or hour, or workout session, or run...etc.;There is soooooo much more to me than what's on this description. Message me! Let's see if we click! Something active, outdoors, or indoors if needed - where we can focus not just on conversation so it doesn't get awkward.
