Laughing is my favorite thing in the world. I think the key to my smile has to be one of the keys to my heart. I value integrity, humor, and compassion. I see mistakes as lessons and I prefer to live in the present rather than dwell on the past. My age hardly indicates where I am at in life. I have learned a lot and lived a lot in my short 23 years here on earth... enough to know that I have much more to learn and to live. I am looking for someone who looks at life similarly... a road trip of sorts. I am trying to avoid writing a glaringly cliche statement like -- "It's the journey, not the destination" -- but sometimes a cliche cuts right through the alternative poetic bull sh*tthat I've been trying to type for a few minutes already. I love the journey. I look forward to what's next. There are so many ways to take to get to the same spot ... whether that spot be marriage and kids or a career or a vacation you have set your sights on for years or even signing up for a dating site. I appreciate all the roads a person must take and am looking for someone who wants to be part of that next stretch in my life. RIght now I am nannying for a great family and working on getting a couple short pieces published. And I just started writing a book. I spend my free time with my family and friends ... those relationships are very important to me and I hope are equally important to you. Swimming, sailing, reading, writing, painting, beach combing, movies, Italian and Mexican food, getting dressed up, going out, staying in, stove-top popcorn, home-made anything, flannel pj's and camping, music turned up loud, ... these are a few of my favorite things. I graduated last year with my BA in English (emphasis in creative writing), as well as a minor in psychology. Writing is my passion (although writing a mini-biography about myself is not ;) ). I know that grad school is probably next ... In the future I hope to become a therapist and work with adolescents. I have a passion for helping people and know that doing so must be part of the career I choose. I am no saint. LIfe has been a mixture of messy and beautiful and I am content right now with where I'm at in life and with who I am. I don't NEED a relationship. I'm looking for someone to compliment my life... not complete it. That being said.. Yes, I do want to have a relationship. Yes, I hope to someday get married and have children. But at the moment, I am looking for someone with shared interests to spend time with and laugh with. Could that be you? If you appreciate sarcasm, a liberal political point of view, a good listener, and someone who is up for trying new things... I look forward to touching base with you.*Please note: I am not interested in any one-night stands so if that is your goal go ahead and click "next." Thanks ;) I know, I know. It's almost lame. But going out for coffee would be my idea of a good first date. Here's why: Going to a movie doesn't offer a lot of time to get to know each other and going out to dinner and doing something planned could be rough if we meet and don't really click. Going out for coffee is low commitment and can easily lead to a longer date of going out to dinner, to another activity, etc. Second dates and beyond I would like to do something fun. Weather permitting... something active and out doors. For example: kayaking, zip-lining, bringing take- Weather not permitting or for a lazier kind of day... I'm not very picky as to what we choose to do as long as its with good company.

Hi. I am shy at first until you get to know me. I love to have a good time and do spontaneous things. I feel life is short and you need to live it to the fullest. My goals and aspirations are to become an elementary teacher in hopefully two years. I love country and hiphop music. If you want to more than ask me. Thanks for your time.
