Hello,I’m originally from the east coast but always felt more at home in CA, so in 89 I persisted in finding a job out here (old school -- no internet!) I then packed up and moved without knowing a soul out here. Best decision I've ever made, I guess you could say I’m adventurous.Here’s how I see myself and qualities I strive to have (and value in others):Witty, warm, confident, centered, outspoken, empathetic, loyal, sincere, affectionate and I make a great cup of coffee. Humor is a big part of my personality; I’m the funniest person I know :-). I’ll be the first one to laugh at myself -- can’t take life too seriously.For fun I’m game for almost anything, exploring, long drives, live music (partial to blues), hiking, movies ( I look for sleepers). Lately I’ve gotten into disc golf, it’s a lot of fun -- and I’ve never played regular golf. I like that it’’re not competing so everyone has a good time.It’s clear to me that communication is the most important thing in any relationship; I’ll talk to you about anything you like. Of course most communication is non-verbal so we’ll have a better idea when we meet.I tend to look forward and have a positive attitude, I know that the future is wide open and It’s totally up to me to have my life turn out the way I want, that includes finding a mate with whom we can both thrive (is that you?). I’m generally happy and satisfied with my life and how things are going. People tend to like me and feel comfortable around me.I’m out of a 15 year relationship that ended 2 years ago with integrity (still friends). I am a transplant in CA from WA. Not sure what brought me here but it has worked out well. I enjoy riding the trails on my mountain bike and I am a National Ski Patrol in the winter... Life is good. There are lots of outdoor activities here and I love the outdoor concerts and markets. The lakes are full this year and look forward to getting out and enjoying the summer !!Down deep I am a small town boy. Don't get me wrong, I love to go out on the town now and then, dining, dancing, and swallowed up in the comfort of a woman I adore.. (wishful thinking). I am funny but a bit shy at first and it takes me a while to open up but when I do I won't shut up (not really). I love most types of music from rock to classical but can do without twangy country and foul-mouthed rap/hiphop...The economy took its toll on my construction business and had to fall back on my skills as a broadband technician but it hasn't got me down, I know things will rebound (GULP)!!!!I don't want this to sound wrong or for anyone to get the wrong impression, but please be HWP to respond. Understand, I DO like women with curves but health and activity are still important to me and being seriously overweight is a deal breaker for me. I apologize if this offends anyone. Fairly slow. It is the time that you both are just meeting anf learning each other. I don't get overwhelmed by first impressions, good or bad. Sometimes the nervousness of the first meeting can cast a different shadow.....Maybe just a nice quiet dinner with a relaxed atmosphere and talk. By the time dinner is over we both should feel better about where this might lead us, maybe out dancing or a movie we BOTH want to see... I slow walk up her driveway/sidewalk and then let the feelings of the night show their response, I warm, tingly kiss or perhaps just a friendly hug waiting to mature into something later....;-O
