Hello,I’m originally from the east coast but always felt more at home in CA, so in 89 I persisted in finding a job out here (old school -- no internet!) I then packed up and moved without knowing a soul out here. Best decision I've ever made, I guess you could say I’m adventurous.Here’s how I see myself and qualities I strive to have (and value in others):Witty, warm, confident, centered, outspoken, empathetic, loyal, sincere, affectionate and I make a great cup of coffee. Humor is a big part of my personality; I’m the funniest person I know :-). I’ll be the first one to laugh at myself -- can’t take life too seriously.For fun I’m game for almost anything, exploring, long drives, live music (partial to blues), hiking, movies ( I look for sleepers). Lately I’ve gotten into disc golf, it’s a lot of fun -- and I’ve never played regular golf. I like that it’’re not competing so everyone has a good time.It’s clear to me that communication is the most important thing in any relationship; I’ll talk to you about anything you like. Of course most communication is non-verbal so we’ll have a better idea when we meet.I tend to look forward and have a positive attitude, I know that the future is wide open and It’s totally up to me to have my life turn out the way I want, that includes finding a mate with whom we can both thrive (is that you?). I’m generally happy and satisfied with my life and how things are going. People tend to like me and feel comfortable around me.I’m out of a 15 year relationship that ended 2 years ago with integrity (still friends).     Hi,I hope things are well with you.Simply put, I'm here to find a true companion. What I mean by that is a female companion that's interested in me as much as I am in her and one that truly would like to be best of friends. It sounds simple but I've found that it's not so simple.I'll briefly describe my situation. I'm 55 and have been divorced for over a decade. I'm not retired. I plan to work for several years yet. Currently I'm self employed and earn a decent income at it. But while the freedom is great, working alone gets boring :P. I'm a home owner and live close to a rural community. So if you like country life, that could be a plus. I know that I won't be able to live here alone too long. It was a great place for kids to go grow up and go to school from but too lonely to live alone at. Although my children are grown, my youngest one will be here with me until next June. She's joining the armed forces after graduation. I'll miss her :(.I like some of the usual things that others do like warm weather and being by the water, music, festivals, cafes, coffee shops, dining, walking, travel, the islands, river tubing, fishing and keeping fit. I've never been on a cruise or one of the southern vacation destinations in the winter.
