I am an intelligent, adventurous, and an honest person. I do march to the beat of my own drum in the sense that I don't pay much attention to common ideas about what one should be up to at different "life stages" but I do have an idea of who I want to spend my life with and where I want to end up.I am a big believer that we were put on this earth one time, and that what we make of our lives is based on the decisions we make and how we interpret the events that happen to us. I also believe that, regardless of age, gender, race, social class, whatever; each of us has the ability to live our lives the way we choose to. I live my life according to one main philosophy: and that is to make the most of every day I am here. Not to take other people who mean a lot to me for granted, but to let them know how much I am grateful to have them in my life. I think life is challenging and precious enough to stress out about meaningless issues and where we stand before a lot of arbitrary standards. So, I'm looking for someone who is attractive (in my eyes, of course!), but who is also passionate about something.     I am a transplant in CA from WA. Not sure what brought me here but it has worked out well. I enjoy riding the trails on my mountain bike and I am a National Ski Patrol in the winter... Life is good. There are lots of outdoor activities here and I love the outdoor concerts and markets. The lakes are full this year and look forward to getting out and enjoying the summer !!Down deep I am a small town boy. Don't get me wrong, I love to go out on the town now and then, dining, dancing, and swallowed up in the comfort of a woman I adore.. (wishful thinking). I am funny but a bit shy at first and it takes me a while to open up but when I do I won't shut up (not really). I love most types of music from rock to classical but can do without twangy country and foul-mouthed rap/hiphop...The economy took its toll on my construction business and had to fall back on my skills as a broadband technician but it hasn't got me down, I know things will rebound (GULP)!!!!I don't want this to sound wrong or for anyone to get the wrong impression, but please be HWP to respond. Understand, I DO like women with curves but health and activity are still important to me and being seriously overweight is a deal breaker for me. I apologize if this offends anyone. Fairly slow. It is the time that you both are just meeting anf learning each other. I don't get overwhelmed by first impressions, good or bad. Sometimes the nervousness of the first meeting can cast a different shadow.....Maybe just a nice quiet dinner with a relaxed atmosphere and talk. By the time dinner is over we both should feel better about where this might lead us, maybe out dancing or a movie we BOTH want to see... I slow walk up her driveway/sidewalk and then let the feelings of the night show their response, I warm, tingly kiss or perhaps just a friendly hug waiting to mature into something later....;-O
