Then, at lunch time, I surprise you with a 5 course outdoor cooked meal, maybe a quick nap in the tall grass on a blanket. Then off to see some sites, maybe buy some stuff, or take a kayak ride *** we would end our date driving to a remote beach to check out the beautiful sunset and stars. Woo hoo! How bout them apples? Wait that's 2nd date if we feel a spark on our 1st.....

Hi,I hope things are well with you.Simply put, I'm here to find a true companion. What I mean by that is a female companion that's interested in me as much as I am in her and one that truly would like to be best of friends. It sounds simple but I've found that it's not so simple.I'll briefly describe my situation. I'm 55 and have been divorced for over a decade. I'm not retired. I plan to work for several years yet. Currently I'm self employed and earn a decent income at it. But while the freedom is great, working alone gets boring :P. I'm a home owner and live close to a rural community. So if you like country life, that could be a plus. I know that I won't be able to live here alone too long. It was a great place for kids to go grow up and go to school from but too lonely to live alone at. Although my children are grown, my youngest one will be here with me until next June. She's joining the armed forces after graduation. I'll miss her :(.I like some of the usual things that others do like warm weather and being by the water, music, festivals, cafes, coffee shops, dining, walking, travel, the islands, river tubing, fishing and keeping fit. I've never been on a cruise or one of the southern vacation destinations in the winter. It's something I'd like to do soon, especially in the company of my female companion :).Anyway, that's a brief description of me. Feel free to ask what you'd like to know. I am a transplant in CA from WA. Not sure what brought me here but it has worked out well. I enjoy riding the trails on my mountain bike and I am a National Ski Patrol in the winter... Life is good. There are lots of outdoor activities here and I love the outdoor concerts and markets. The lakes are full this year and look forward to getting out and enjoying the summer !!Down deep I am a small town boy. Don't get me wrong, I love to go out on the town now and then, dining, dancing, and swallowed up in the comfort of a woman I adore.. (wishful thinking). I am funny but a bit shy at first and it takes me a while to open up but when I do I won't shut up (not really). I love most types of music from rock to classical but can do without twangy country and foul-mouthed rap/hiphop...The economy took its toll on my construction business and had to fall back on my skills as a broadband technician but it hasn't got me down, I know things will rebound (GULP)!!!!I don't want this to sound wrong or for anyone to get the wrong impression, but please be HWP to respond. Understand, I DO like women with curves but health and activity are still important to me and being seriously overweight is a deal breaker for me. I apologize if this offends anyone. Fairly slow. It is the time that you both are just meeting anf learning each other. I don't get overwhelmed by first impressions, good or bad. Sometimes the nervousness of the first meeting can cast a different shadow.....Maybe just a nice quiet dinner with a relaxed atmosphere and talk. By the time dinner is over we both should feel better about where this might lead us, maybe out dancing or a movie we BOTH want to see... I slow walk up her driveway/sidewalk and then let the feelings of the night show their response, I warm, tingly kiss or perhaps just a friendly hug waiting to mature into something later....;-O
