About Me

Meeting that someone that will fulfill your soul in the long run is a very difficult thing. Some have great luck with it while others wander and hope. I thought I had found it a few years ago and earnestly hope to find it again. So begins my quest to find her while I am still young, healthy, and full of love. Fifty is the new forty, right? As I embark upon this quest, I will tell you I truly believe there is someone out there for everyone. However, with the earth so populated and so large they could be hiding anywhere in plain sight. So thankful am I for meetville and the opportunity to seek on a global scale. Got-ta love that. Here I place my face cards on the table and give you a look into my life, offering up both the good and maybe the not-so. If after reading you think to yourself…hmmm, sounds interesting. I’d like to know more…then please drop me a note and feel free to ask anything you would like. We begin one step at a time. Every word the simple truth. It is my hope to give you at least a 2D image of me. The 3D version will have to wait until someday fate or luck bring us together. We might be compatible if you [enjoy/appreciate/like/understand] that your potential partner: -Is kind, anti-violent, and seeks a peaceful life-Would rather bicycle or walk/hike in lieu of driving – when practical-Is sometimes frugal with money – NOT CHEAP – but practical -Can be persuaded by the opposite sex to not be frugal with money -Was never a male model – but is yet easy on the eye. -Would rather have a heart-to-heart on an issue between us and enjoy harmony-Thoroughly loves to travel, learn, and seek out what’s around the next corner-Would love to find a tantra partner-Loves to read (love thy Kindle as thyself)-Is not lazy and actually enjoys things to do and is an A++ handy-man-Partakes of cannabis on occasion - nothing harder, EVER-Is debt free, has no record of any kind, and enjoys great health-Was married once, a long time ago-Finds many of the best things in life...are not things-Views himself as spiritual – not religious-Would love to live in Europe again – but will go wherever his heart takes him-Once had a great head of hair, now has only the remnants of a once great nation-Loves to laugh and often at himself-Is a hygienic, clean, and neat person-Believes two independent people can find untold happiness sharing lives together-Values trust and honesty above allThis next part was more difficult to write but hopefully we are aware by this age of those traits/attributes that you do not seek in a partner so they must be stated. It begins with: We are probably not compatible if you:-Do not possess at least a decent command of the English language ***%+), makes the essential communication element of relationships unrealistic-Do not see yourself as an open minded person – to things within reason--If the weatherman would label your daily disposition as "cloudy with a 90% chance of rain" *** "sunny to mostly sunny"-Do not love and are a great friend to yourself -Have young children living at home or your grown children remain “klingons” or otherwise burdensome-Did not take reasonable care of your body and it has now gone beyond "sensually curvy"-Are unable to do things in moderation (i.e. alcohol)-Are overtly religious--amen-If athleticism has abandoned you and cycling and hiking do not sound fun-If lack of money or burdensome debt is an issue with you -Do not find humor great for the soul-Do not find life to be sunny, always knowing storms come and storms go, and rainy days can be fun too-Do not agree in your heart of hearts with all of the aboveMany single people have pets, be they dogs or cats. I do not at the moment but have equally loved and cared for both in the past. Just wanted to let you know I was not “anti”. You're out there and I'm here, good luck to both of us. I hope someday we find each other. One step at a time.

Looking for: woman. In age: 49-59

At first glance I have been described as having an austere demeanour. I would describe myself as a person of integrity and fortitude, who always copes with all of life's situations with equanimity and humour. I have a strong reverence for the Earth and Nature, simply because it provides us with everything, I enjoy and feel most relaxed doing anything outdoors preferably in the wilderness. Comfortable in my own skin and have paddled my canoe on many a remote lake into a head wind during a rain storm and still find the day enjoyable :). Awaiting my princess charming a life companion optimistic, determined, intelligent, playful, snugly, silly, adaptable lady composed no matter what each day brings her. She can come home from a special event out on the town and then, he'd north to the cabin, even in winter when snowshoes are mandatory and the only water available is a spring fed stream running through the property. I will close by saying that my siblings and I were raised to appreciate everything offered by this life, bad or good to learn from it all. That our time to enjoy this life is precious and short. So, cherish the good times of contentment spent with family and true friends. For these memories will keep you smiling and laughing till the end. Some songs I like: (Nat King Cole - "Smile") (Steve Vai - "For The Love Of God/Nature") (Frank Zappa - "More Trouble Everyday") (Headstones - "Reframed") (Valdy - "Yes I Can"- ";;- "From The Beginning" Maracle - "True Peace") ``````````We will cross that bridge bla bla bla.

Looking for: woman. In age: 52-62

I am a divorced father of two, and they are both good kids! Two girls so don't ask me if I'm in touch with my feminine side..lol!I've gone thru a lot in the past few years, some very good, some not so good but I stay positive and love to have fun! Family is the best, no matter what! I like to be around positive and happy people as I am one of them. Someone that can be a partner as well respecting each others lives. You must love animals, I have a dog and cat and of course, they are family : ) I am looking for someone that is positive and upbeat. Must have a playful personality and are able to forget what their real age is. Ok, deleted the rest! Have to keep something back ; Coffee first and likely a long chat to get to know each other. Or better, a nice outdoor patio with a cool drink to help us relax. This will be a much easier question to answer after I have talked to you and gotten to know you a bit : ) The first meeting is not the first date.

Man. 51 years old. Zodiac sign: Sagittarius.

Looking for: woman. In age: 48-58

I'm a semi-educated (BS & MS Science, MFA Ceramics) and well traveled guy. I work in the high tech world and love gadgets. I have a wicked/sarcastic sense of humor and love my bike, books, movies, TV, travel, dining out, and new experiences. I have a patent, have written several books, and numerous magazine articles. I have three adult children, all of whom have graduated from college and are on their own. I'm close to all of them and see them at least once a week. I'm a PC not a Mac guy, I like the Android not the iPhone, but favor my iTouch over a Zune. I have a Nexus 7 tablet and it's running Android 4.2.2. When I see a cheap electronic gadget I usually buy two of them***to have and play with and the other to take apart. I'm the guy who is passing you: "On your left!". At one point I managed to consume 4 root beer floats in just under 7 minutes- I own one car and 3 bikes. I have almost as many bike jerseys as dress shirts. I have started training for Ragbrai ***. Want to join my team? Bike the Drive is coming up shortly!I can usually find something new and interesting to do in the city every week. I just went to the One Of A Kind show, and SOFA on Navy Pier before that. The auto show can entertain. (You can do some pretty crazy things at the auto show.) Lots of summer festivals too.- and sell my designs at the occasional weekend art fair.I'm a romantic at heart and want to find someone who is active and engaging. I want a partner and a connection - intellectually, physically, & emotionally. My partner must be able to laugh at least some of the same things I do, or me. I am looking for someone who has the ability to perceive the absurdity of life and to laugh at themselves (and me when I deserve it). I want an equal partner- not someone who wants me to continually chase after them. We should share the chasing!-**stards, Torpedo Boyz, Gin Wigmore, The Civil Wars, Fritz & the Tantrums, classical, blues, and jazz. Finally, I always see the glass as completely full. Half water and half air is still full to me. So you can see I probably don't think the same way as most other guys. I'm a liberal, atheist, and if you think your religion tells you to hate/shun/condemn gay people- keep on looking somewhere else. (And ask yourself why you don't own any slaves- after all your Bible lays down the rules for owning and treating your slaves.) We each get on separate L trains (different lines) and randomly get off and on until we meet up. Then we walk ***block to the nearest Starbucks where you have coffee and I have tea. After a 3 hour conversation we discover we have both forgotten where the L station is.Or we travel to the nearest "Cash for Gold" store where we pretend we don't speak any language that the store clerk does. We indicate that we want to see the merchandise. Then we offer them cash....
