I am reinventing and rediscovering my self. Learning, growing, trusting, accepting what the process reveals. I am redefining what's important....what I want and what I need. Making the time to slow, look inward and embrace what I discover as authentic, sincere, unique, imperfect, worthy. Creating and sustaining balance.I am good at listening and hearing what was said, writing, learning music, considering alternatives and befriending cats. Well?......, adolescent as that may sound, I've never met a cat who didn't like me. I once rescued a 5 year old homeless cat (home foreclosed and abandoned) and we lived happily together for nine years.The first things people usually notice about me?.....I am genuinely curious, trustworthy, sensitive to others' true needs, compassionate, creative, intelligent, easy going, I live a relatively simple lifestyle.Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food? Better shared in person but I'll sample a few in each category here.Books? Nonfiction. Poetry. Self improvement.Movies?Shows? My TV is mostly for distraction and mindless entertainment though I once considered myself a "student" of the media. I don't have much invested in home entertainment or a bazillion channels and these days, I am lucky if I have the time to sit through any serial episode let alone an entire season of anything. I don't typically watch/understand sports though I find televised golf events relaxing, especially if Jim Nantz is doing the play by play...one golden voice! I get news from multiple sources including the web, pbs, networks and npr.Music? Chamber music. Jazz Fusion, I like most kinds of music depending on my mood and whether it moves/speaks to me. Always been more of a B side guy and what's left of my record collection is consistent with that.;T/Ides of March....love those early vibrant soulful horn sections!;..her life was truly one of heartbreak). The Nields, Neko Case, the New Pornographers all are remarkably fresh and creative ensembles....I'm just vamping... too many artists and acts to mention here. Oh and BTW, I like Rap. I feel the need to include that as it seems many of you feel it necessary to indicate your dislike of "rap". Like any genre, there is good and not so good but it all shares a distinction as a uniquely American and powerfully expressive form with variations all over the world. There is some modern music I am completely *** and some that is loud, raw and minimally tolerable. I will listen to it to get an idea as to what is out there and make an informed choice to support it or not. Music continues to evolve with new artists and genres and means of distribution which is exciting but more and more, I listen to classical (esp.As for food? Would rather keep it simple. I am not terribly adventurous when it comes to food, cooking, baking or fine dining.I continue learning to do more with less and appreciating more of what is before me and around me. Discovering how to be present to ordinary life and focusing one day at a time. In other words, exercising my five senses and the wealth of experience they interpret around me. I welcome ideas and opinions and will either agree or challenge but will always come away more enlightened with a new understanding.The things I spend a lot of time thinking about are vast and varied and usually change by the hour. These are better shared in person but generally I return to creating a better work/life balance and becoming a better human being, able to embrace and share more of life's positive, unscripted moments.On a typical Friday night I am relaxing or catching up on sleep or unfinished business because my job involves a good deal of travel.I’m looking forCompanionship (friendship with "benefits" if the chemistry is good and consent is mutually and respectfully given).Ages 35–55Near me (1 hour)You should message me if you are curious, patient, have an open mind and are willing to explore, embrace and share the process of discovery.     I enjoy my work as flatbed truck driver , it is challenging and skill level to needed to drive with oversized loads .Have evenings off and weekends .Work 50 hrs or more a week so it does present challenges when it comes to dating and spending quality time with a friend. I do enjoy an ice cold brew, just don't substitute it for exercise or food :) When I'm standing up and look down, I can see my shoes, my legs, my shorts or jeans, and if my shirt is tucked in, which is admittedly not that often, I can see my belt buckle as well.I enjoy riding my motorcycle, but you don't have to if you don't like it...I don't ride it that much anyway, and don't do long trips on it. Just got my ***season tickets for the Texans..if you're into Texans football and tailgating you rock! I belong to a large fun tailgate group as well ( previous Tailgaters of the Year winners) If you're not, you'll have to excuse me a few sundays this fall and hopefully 3 or 4 playoff games!-Bone Tom's, as long as I have a cold adult beverage to assist in the effort. Any outdoor place, live music or not, works for me. Love being by the water-Noah's Ark, Pod- I hate when that happens. I enjoy Vegas as well, but haven't been there in a few years...I was just there the last weekend of January for the first weekend of Mardi Gras :) Love going to the beach, or hanging by the pool when there is adult company. My pug no longer gives me strange looks when I hold long poolside conversations with her - she just *** I like most kinds of music except rap or hip hop...just not me....love live music! Would like to learn to C&W dance better. I do have a cousin who gets me great passes for cookoff tents. I tried deep fried oreos and a twinkie and I wish I had my money back! LOLI don't have great pics on here...seems I'm usually the one with the camera, and there's that casual thing I mentioned above, but there is one dark pic of me in a suit...yes, it is really me... I work in pajamas, so what do you expect? :) I"ve been told I have nice eyes, am easy on the eyes, and that I have great legs. No really LOL More pics will undoubtedly get added over time if I'm marooned on this damn site for months longer.I am somewhat picky. it may seem shallow, but It is what it is...we all know what we are attracted to.. If I don't respond, it's nothing personal...I just don't see a match. It happens to us all :)Send me a note if you want to know more. I am not looking for *** you aren't ready to date. or are just looking to entertain yourself, move along to someone with similar interests. Coffee? Drinks?
