A very wise friend once told me that in many aspects of life, it's knowing what you don't want as much as what you do. This certainly rings true in the area of relationships. I find that relationships are like music; it takes a bit of structure, a bit of improvisation, and some practice for things to work well. My hope is that one day I will find a woman that will have hers be compatible with mine.I enjoy college sports, with preferences of Baylor and U of L. Travel is fun, and I get to do some with my job. The people I meet come from a variety of backgrounds, and I've certainly learned a lot from them. As one can see from my pics, I play trumpet and piano, and own a vintage jukebox. I'm in a dance band, which is a bit ironic because I can't dance....that really is a scary sight. My parents are both still living, and I try to get by and see them as often as I can. Family is important, faith vital and laughter a true necessity. What you get in me is a supportive man with his head on straight, who works hard, can listen (or so I'm told), likes his dogs, his home, his church, and his job. I am very outgoing, social, honest, caring, and not afraid to share my feelings with someone that I am close to. I am told that I have a great sense of humor and look years younger than I actually am (I guess you will have to judge for yourself). I have beautiful children, ***years old that I have week on/week off shared custody of, and a 22 year old who lives w/ me (although I rarely see her and assume she still lives here) and goes to school. I have 2 more grown children on their own. I have a great job that affords me flexibility with my schedule an opportunity to travel to some great places, and perks that make my friends jealous. I am home office based and beyond my base of close friends, it is tough to meet new people- and it’s not happening in a bar (so here I am). Even though I am social and outgoing, I can be shy initially. I like to work out and do my best to stay fit and will occasionally partake in a Mud Run. I am a bit of a “gym rat”; however my schedule allows me to be one. I’d truly love to find someone who is honest, open, caring, and trustworthy. I value someone who can openly communicate, carry a conversation, and likes to have fun. A great match for me is a woman who would enjoy the things I enjoy; however I am open to sharing their interests and trying new things and activities as well. I love attending concerts, love the 80’s hair bands, but also love most music. I enjoy dining out and especially like trying new, non-chain restaurants. On a beautiful day I love to find a patio and enjoy a beer or margarita along with friends. I am not into stuffy people or places and own a couple of ties but rarely wear them.-3 day “” trip than Vegas. With all of that said, I am just as happy staying in on a Friday or Saturday night, cooking, grilling out, and enjoying a quiet night with a movie or board game. Let’s be honest, first dates can be awkward, right? A great first date should e in a social setting that is comfortable for both of us. Perhaps lunch or dinner on a nice patio (weather permitting) or at a casual restaurant where we can actually hear what we are saying to each other. We are lucky to live in a great sports town, so another great first date would be a Stars, Mavs, or Rangers game. In the end, I want to learn about my date, your interests, what you enjoy doing, what your life is like. Along the way I hope to share the same. While I love concerts, movies, a comedy club, even a dueling piano bar (on occasion), those do not present good opportunities to talk and learn about each other.
