I am a high tech engineer by trade, but I keep my spirit soaring with many different music projects. I love to laugh and be silly. I can be very serious, but most of time I'd rather play! I have a VERY open mind and will try just about anything once! Please don't put me in a box, I won't fit well and you'll find that tomorrow it will look like I belong in a totally different one anyway. Let's just get to know one another and have fun! Seems silly to have a standard first date prepared, although I did when I was in my twenties and I thought I was SO cool. While I am very young at heart and in spirit, I'm neither young nor disingenuous any more! I prefer to cater to what seems we would both enjoy. Dinner and a movie can be a fabulous time, but so can miniature golf and pizza. Or perhaps laser tag and ice cream. Coffee and conversation is always a good time for me as well as the beach, either during the day - volleyball and body surfing, or at night for stroll or a fire! I love to see plays and I am always out watching live music! For me to concoct a "perfect first date" scenario seems far too contrived and orchestrated. Let's just see what we come up with after we talk for a while! No bullshit, no games!

My son lives with me and is a senior in high school. I was going to move here next year after he graduated, but after bringing him out on a vacation, he decided we should move now! Smart kid! I currently do part-time private investigations, mainly insurance fraud. If your profile says you want to climb every mountain, jump out of airplanes, or generally are seeking adventure after adventure, then I am NOT your guy! I have done everything at least once and most things I don't care to do twice. I am mostly a homebody, but I love the beach, sun, swimming pools, afternoon drinks on a patio, especially with an interesting woman. I have already traveled to most everywhere I wish to go, but have a couple places left on my bucket list. My favorite place in the world for FUN is Vegas. Raising my son on my own has made me an excellent all around cook, but grilling is may favorite. I do love to watch T.V. and am a fan of Nat. Geo., The Voice and American Idol, Gold Rush, any feel good shows. Music is anything except country or rap, mostly adult contemporary/top 40 stuff. UPDATE*** My son got to missing his girl and his friends and bailed on me....little shit. Lol Lets meet for afternoon drinks and see how it goes!

As a native Californian I've always enjoy spending my time outdoors. I love to cruise the local trails on my bicycle or jump on the motorcycle for a ride down to the coast. I've renewed my interest in dirt biking and hit the desert or mountain trails when the weather's right. Any activity near the water gets my attention whether hanging at the beach or riding watercraft on the lake. Like anyone else I love downtime as well and can be quite the lounge lizard when the mood strikes. I have my own business working in the IT field as a consultant. Curious that I never have the need to play with computers or game in my free time although I am somewhat of a gadget hound. I have a life-long love of learning and try to push myself to know a little about a lot of things or a lot about a few things as the mood strikes. Most people I know would describe me as down-to-earth, sincere, positive, easy-going, witty, and intelligent (the ones who like me anyway). Although I'm a family man I do my best to live life on my own terms... I have an independent streak. I'm looking for a quality woman with whom to share some of life's adventures. My teens are an important part of my life and are my top priority. Now that one's in college and the other driving I'd like to focus a bit more on my needs.
