Love looking at life through the opposite end of the lens -- friends describe me as optimistic, funny (must keep humor in life and I love to laugh), with a bit of quirkiness tossed in, and spontaneous...love a good adventure. If I *had*- it's a slice of heaven (along with gelato and limoncello).’s Blue Grotto (incredible!), and trek to the 2nd highest peak in the Alps (where I also skied for the first time in my life - uh, *not* the best decision, but I did eventually come to a complete stop at the bottom, so I must look at the bright side, LOL!).I'm a lucky mother to a beautiful, inquisitive 9 yo girl. I'm determined to show her how to love life and live it fully, not merely coast through it. For the last 7 years, I have owned my own small business, to which I refer as my "bubble." With life's "little" changes, it's time to pop the bubble and begin anew...and I gotta admit, I'm excited for this next phase of life. Hoping I will find that certain special someone who shares the same outlooks in life, family values, and humor.And for kicks, added bits of randomness:- Quick intelligent wit and conversation are huge attractions.- Proper grammar is key. Typos drive me mad. A person is a "who" not a "that"...if this doesn't make sense, then we're not a good match.- I don't camp (love the outdoors, just don't need to sleep in it).--and- I have a darn good story as to why I do not!). I have been divorced for many years after I was unsuccessful in raising my ex and have no desire to attempt raising a grown man again. I have spent these years on my own learning a lot about myself and also what I would like in a partner. While raising my children on my own, I went back to college to earn my nursing degree to provide a better life for my children. I am in no way, shape or form bitter.....actually happy with lessons I've learned and where life has led me. I mention that because it has made me very strong and independent and look for the same in a man.Now that my children are getting older, I'd like to find someone to share my life with. I need someone with similar goals, values and faith. Also, a good sense of humor, honest and drama free. Besides work and hanging out with my kids, I like to work in my yard, get in my car and see new things, having the neighbors and friends over for a cookout, most outdoor activities, dancing and a cold beer (or couple) once in a while.
