NOT SEEKING INTIMATE ENCOUNTERS First off I'm a single Mom and I work VERY hard. If you DON'T like kids..(or my dogs) .. we won't get along. It's been said I'm more of a 'guy's kinda gal' .. I don't consider myself a ultra feminine/girlie-girl... I'm not prissy.. I dont' care about the latest fashion trends but more into my own style and comfort :) However, I do like dressing upon occasion.. This being said..I'm not your hunting or fishing pal either. I work very hard at what I do...and I like to relax and have fun. My career is in healthcare and I'm surrounded by folks who are physically and emotionally dependant on me for their every need. This means I like to relax and mellow out after work -- not see how many clubs can be seen in a night. First date? Hmmmm I'm a coffee and tea drinker...I DO drink, albeit more socially or with friends. I used to go dancing all the time but after working so many consecutive years in healthcare running on my feet all day/night, I kind of lost the drive to do so LOL...yet I do like to do so from time to time. I love to shoot pool even though I'm terrible at it. I have a minor competitive streak that comes out of me when surrounded by good friends, laughter, pool tables n beer.

I cannot describe my personality in one word, at least a dozen of those words describe me (artsy, hippie, hedonist, geek, sapiophile, etc. etc.). Yup, human beings are dynamic, go figure.I love my life, my kids, my dogs... even my son's cat. At this point I would describe my life as nearly perfect. I'm happy with all I have, all I've done, all I've let go, and all that I hold dear. I have a descent job (career)... Let's leave it at that.I do not drink, as a personal choice, I don't have an issue with it, just don't enjoy it.I have tattoos. I love my tattoos. I love people with tattoos and the stories behind them.I'm an artist, I guess you'd say semi-professional as I've sold paintings here and there for a long time. It's one of the greatest loves of my life... creative expression.I'm a very handy person. I enjoy doing home renos and I love to learn new things.I enjoy staying active. I hike and bike and exercise rigorously 4 to 6 times a week, depending on the week. I love music of all genres (more so with rock, less so with country and rap). I'm a concert junkie, it's how I plan my holidays/road trips. Music is life!!Something that totally sets me apart from other women... I absolutely loathe shopping, I'm not into makeup and fashion is just something that happens... So, yeah, I'm not a "high maintenance girly girl". I do, however, love to cook. I'm a chronic quitter... with smoking that is. I've done this on again/off again thing for years, quitting for 2 years at a time. One day it will stick, just hasn't yet. I've been on my own for a long time. I preferred to raise my kids without a "step-parent" in the picture. I guess I'm a little old-school in that regard. But now they are nearly grown, it's time to change pace. What I seek is another completely dynamic person with positive and negative qualities that mesh well with my own positive and negative qualities (yes, we all have them both). I would prefer someone relatively close to my age who is a music and art lover. Someone who likes to hike, bike and stay active. Someone who is secure in who they are on their own and as a "couple". By no means do I "need" anyone to the point that I'll settle again, that never works. All that I have is too important to let just anyone in. Compatibility, communication, commrodary... Those are all top priorities. And, of course, the standard, honest, sincere, intelligent, kind... yadda yadda... What a gorgeous summer we have had! My oldest son is 21 and is out on his own. My youngest son is 15 and is my partner in crime. They are crazy funny and we laugh constantly at our house. I would vote for somewhere relatively quiet where we can talk and see if we like each other in person or not. A good sign is if an hour passes and it only seems like ten minutes.
