About Me

Im Brenda.. Im on a quest to find someone to share the rest of this life with.. Im fun, sassy at times and a little on the onery side. Im not exactly a Barbie. doll so if that's what your looking for, look elsewhere. I can love as good, if not lots better than they can. There's just a little more of me to love. :***Im not fat, just pleasingly plump.Im down to earth and love the outdoors.. Im a jeans and T-shirt kinda gal but,I can look mighty fine in a dress too. I will say this in all honesty, im a lover not a fighter. I don't like drama at all...Life is to be used, not abused. Were only here for a little while and I intend to live, laugh, and love with all my heart..Its really not that hard to do..I just need to find the man that can do the same with me.. Im not high maintenance either. Im a simple woman, in need of a best friend.. I know he's out there somewhere.. I just need to find him. You won't ever find a nicer gal or one with a better heart than me.. I think im purtty darn awesome myself .. You won't ever know tho, unless you get ta know me .. So what are you waiting for.. Let's get started.. Im here waiting patiently... Well im up for about anything you wanted to do. We need to see if we have a connection, and enjoy eachothers company.. If we do then set up another date.. :***

I don\'t drink, smoke, do drugs, or gamble so sometimes it makes it difficult for me to meet people my age, because bars just really are not my thing. I search for a homely partner non drinker.

*Updated*** I work 8p-6a Thurs-Sun** Take off your sunglasses in pics ...why does everyone wear sunglasses I would prefer to just find THAT one, and after 18 years of marriage its hard to get back into the dating world. Whats right. whats wrong? Have the rules changed? I have to admit this was a lot easier when I was younger I guess as you get older you realize what you want and what you don't and won't settle for anything less. I'm an affectionate girl, I like to touch and be touched, I will do anything under the sun for that one person, I am a giver by nature. i will apologize when Im wrong but stand my ground when Im right. I do have the "; type personality due to my profession but when in a relationship, I like to be the "girl"and let the man take the lead.....(most times...........others........I just can't help myself, hey I said most....lol).......seriously it has to be a give and takeLove to laugh...sense of humor is definitely a PLUS.....just have fun and be silly sometimes.....Sarcastic by birth and curious by profession but don't want to play guessing games. We all have a guard that we put up to see who is willing to take the time to break it down not go around or over it..... there is a Difference.....I work 8p-6a and that is not changing anytime soon, my days off change every 12 weeks which I will explain later....Im pretty easy going, just goes with the flow, likes to have fun, laugh and open communication is a huge plus.*** If I do not respond to an ***, for me it maybe because I don't feel there would be a connection of my part. It is not to be mean spirited. Meet for a drink, talk and get to know eachother

I've been divorced for nearly 2 years. Wounds have been licked and I'm ready to get into the dating scene again-I guess I am a glutton for punishment. Plenty of fish says I should talk about hobbies/goals/my uniqueness and taste in music...here goes:Hobbies: gardening, walking for fun and fitness, fishing, dancing, travel, camping, reading, card and board games. I am fairly competitive but can take a loss with minimal tears and tantrums.Goals: personal goals are finding a partner to share my life and interests with. I have 2 beautiful grown children who have been my primary focus, but now that they are grown I am excited to focus time and energy on myself. Currently I'm in the process of buying my first home as a single person and am looking forward to remodelling and decorating it. I think men who know how to use a hammer are SEXY! Though it's not a deal breaker to just hire an expert-recognizing and accepting strengths and weaknesses is attractive in and of itself :) Professional goals involve possibly returning to school to finish my master's degree within the next 5 years. What makes me unique...hmmm, with 6,000,000,000ish people on Earth, I don't know that anyone is really THAT unique. However, some qualities I have that make me who I am are an ability to be nearly always happy. I am genetically geared towards a positive outlook, and it's not something I have to work on. I have a permanent smile and a slightly twisted sense of humor. I consider myself to be above average in intelligence (doesn't everyone?), and enjoy conversations with funny, intelligent people. I know, I TOLD you it's difficult to be truly unique! Although my family is very conservative and somewhat religious, I am not. Through painful trial and error I have learned that I need a partner who not only "tolerates," but shares my liberal views.Music tastes: I gravitate towards Indie and alternative rock. Although I can usually find songs within every genre to enjoy, I really don't care for gangster rap and country music. The first is too hateful and the second is too whiney and depressing for my tastes. Guilty TV pleasure: toss up between Americas Next Top Model and So You Think You Can Dance (you would think I'm 15yrs old). Uh, I'm not...pedophiles need not apply. An ideal first date would be somewhere intimate with a good****ail where we could discuss our interests and hopefully find common ground. Best case scenario would be lots of laughing, though not to the milk coming out your nose extent, because that is almost never sexy. I think the mark of a good first date is losing track of the time. If you find yourself checking your watch every few minutes it's probably time to cut your losses and agree to "just be friends"...both knowing we will never be friends. :)Another fun first date would be deep sea fishing... because if you are still attracted to someone who smells like bait you are on the right track. Or maybe a wine tasting tour. I am completely *** wines and would appreciate some guidance on the subject. Plus the smell of the aging barrels is much better than fish bait.
