About Me

Enthusiastic, adventurous, loving and independent are good ways to describe me. I am most happy outside hiking, running, downhill and x-country skiing, cycling, paddling and just taking in all that nature has to offer. Prior to having children I travelled extensively and often preferred the road less travelled. Travelling has helped me to be open minded, flexible and understanding. I love my work which fortunately takes me to France every year. I am looking for a fun, active, down to earth, healthy partner who is passionate about life, loves to learn, has dreams and the ambition to fulfill ( some of ! ) them and knows what he loves in life. Honesty, integrity, communication , and connection are very important to me.I have a reasonably good balance in my life between my work, children, exercise and friends and hope to share with someone who also has a good sense of balance between work,family, play,relaxation and other commitments. I have 2 lovely sons, 9 and 13 years old who are very imprtant to me and with me part time. I feel fortunate to have an amicable relationship with their father. I am equally at home in the mountains , by the ocean, wandering through art galleries, attending live theatre, listening to live music (I like ***, jazz,folk, blues, world and classical), reading a book and creating a meal with friends.     So I recently thought I had found my shining knight, but here I am. If at first you don't succeed; try, try again.I am not really a hobby type person, but I don't begrudge people who have them. I am open to trying different things to find something fun to do. I am open to almost all types of music; some of my favorite genres are classical, top 40, 80's, jazz, classic rock. I like stand up comedy and most movies. Just tell it like it is. Honest communication is very important.... Please have some indication of who/what you are looking for in your write up. Time is precious and there is no point in wasting it. Gainfully employed is a must (sad I have to say that) as well as you must be a non-smoker. Goal orientated; Intelligence and humour are important - the mind must be stimulated sometimes more than the body..... however the physical part is very very important.... An abundance of facial hair is a turn off for me; a little is not a problem. Pic for a pic, Gentlemen - it is only fair. Not sure what is meant.... first date or first meet? Meet = coffee (that way either of us can bow out gracefully) to make sure the person in the profile resembles the person I meet :-)Date = dinner in an out of the way place with a medium noise level; that way we can actually talk :)
