About Me

I just finished my first year teaching. I taught 5th grade and it was the single most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done in my entire life. I grew up in the city but would consider myself somewhat of a country girl. I definitely have country roots. I listen to pretty much all types of music, but country music is my first love. I have really gotten into red dirt in the last couple of years. I try to go to any red dirt shows that are close. Bonus points if you know who the Turnpike Troubadours are! In my free time I like catching concerts, going to rodeos, antiquing/junking, spending time with my friends and family, and being crafty. I also enjoy just staying in and reading or watching TV or a good movie. I love going out and having a good time, but I don't feel that I always need to get drunk in order to have fun. I am a Christian and my faith is very important to me but that doesn't mean I am perfect. It is important to me that I find someone with similar beliefs and values as me. Also, a sense of humor is a must. I try not to take life too seriously and laugh off most of life's unpleasant surprises. I'm really just looking to get to know someone and see if we have a connection. I want to have a serious relationship with the right person but I feel like it is important to take things slow and not rush into anything. I just moved back to the KC area after being away for 6 years, and would love to find some new friends too. If you think it sounds like we would hit it off, I would love to hear from you! I would want the first face to face date to come after a while of ***, texting, and talking over the phone. I think it should be something where we could talk and get to know each other in an environment that is comfortable for the both of us. I really don't have anything specific in mind; I think an ideal first date would really depend on the person the date is with.

    I work as an optician as well as attending college full time ... so it can be hard to find time to get to know people. Hence the reason I have found my way to this place!     Hello :) I am a nursing student who is getting ready to graduate in a few short months. I love most aspects of nursing but especially coaching mamas through labor and nutritional teaching. We'll see where I end up! Nursing is my passion and it is hard for me to spare the squeamish with some of my stories. Outside of nursing I really enjoy de-stressing through various craft projects including crocheting (No I don't own any cats....yet) and DIY home projects. My family is also pretty active and I join with them in activities like paddleboarding, snowboarding, and biking. Nursing school has also made me appreciate the simple joy of being around the table with good friends at a local dive.While this is a long shot on meetville, I am a somewhat liberal Christian who is looking for someone open to conversations on spirituality as it is a big part of the lens through which I see life.
