About Me

Disclaimer: I've recently given this space a little update as "short and sweet" was only attracting extremely overweight men who don't take care of themselves, perverts, and old men. None of which am I'm in the market for!Heya, there! I'm twenty- I'm 5' 4" and feel like "a few extra pounds" is an accurate description for my weight even though it doesn't accurately describe my fitness level or lifestyle. I'm a college graduate. I'm currently employed as a customer service representative for a large manufacturing company. I spend my days on the computer entering orders and taking calls from customers. Not the most glamorous gig out there but it pays the bills until the economy bounces back enough for me to land a job using my degree. Plus, its a reputable company, I have virtually no commute, and there always room to move up if I choose to stay. I'm aspiring to become a probation officer but with all the budget cuts... positions are hard to come by and then I'm often competing with veterans or those who already have several years of experience in the field. My day will come though! I own my own home. I guess you would call it a fixer-upper but its completely livable. Haha. It should be really cute and homey once I'm done with it. I'm also a huge animal lover and have been actively involved in animal rescue since my college days (currently on a hiatus from fostering). I have four dogs (three beagle mixes and a pinzu) and two cats. Don't worry... they're all well behaved. They all also happen to be rescues. Obviously a love of animals is a must.Several months ago I embarked on a journey to change my life. I wasn't obese but I wasn't exactly happy with myself. I embarked on clean eating diet (convert for life but only follow ***, go to the gym three to five times a week, and now since I can officially run a 10k without kneeling over... consider myself to be a runner. If you love to run - major bonus points.Other than running... I enjoy cooking, reading, blogging, dabbling in Youtube, hiking, camping, volunteering, and traveling.I'm looking for someone in their mid-to-late twenties who's driven and has a good head on their shoulders. I'm looking for someone who compliments my personality and lifestyle while helping me grow and better myself as person. I'm an independent girl who takes care of herself so I expect any potential partner to have his life together as well. I'm not rich or famous but I'm doing better than most my age.I'm not interested in dating men who don't take care of their bodies. I don't expect you to be a body builder by any means as I'm not a super model but being sloppily overweight its not acceptable. I'm not interested in men who live at home or who play excessive amounts of video games. No men with kids unless you happen to be an absolutely exceptional man and father - just not all that interested in inheriting a starter family or drama. If you're not employed and cannot take care of your finances then don't bother. I don't need a man financially and I'm not looking to have to financially support anyone. No one who drinks excessively or does drugs (no not even marijuana) need to apply. I'm as straight-laced as they come. I'm a ruler follower. And lastly, no criminal record. Given where I want to go in life, I can't chance future opportunities by associating with those who don't follow the law.I guess I should also note that I'm not looking to get married asap but neither am I looking to be be someone's weekend only fun. I'm looking for someone who wouldn't mind building a strong foundation as friends with similar interests first and seeing where things go from there. If you've made it this far... and think we'd be a good match - please don't hesitate to send a message! It really depends on how comfortable I feel... and how long the driving distance is. Usually a simple meal at a neutral restaurant is a good idea - although I'm always game for sushi.

Woman. 25 years old. Zodiac sign: Taurus.

Looking for: man. In age: 22-32

Who am I?I'm content with all the enlightenment and life experiences I've already had for being 24. I enjoy tea, biking, dancing, driving fast, martial arts, meditation, mixing music, reading, sculpting, singing, writing, and yoga. I love swimming. I plan on living near the ocean "when I grow up". I eat organics and like bio-hazard symbols, mad scientists, and zombies. I love twisted senses of humor . . . and old school video games. MARIO! I love sharing my information, advice, and internal realizations with my friends, and I listen pretty well too. *** Interests I'd love to have in common with my partner are things like astral projection, sacred geometry, music, poetry, drawing or painting, and maybe meditation. These aren't "requirements", though! I originally went into college studying Artist Management, but I'd like to switch my major to International Studies with Japanese being my first secondary language. I would like to become a translator (in more than one secondary language***eventually I'd like to leave the United States. That's a life goal, though - and we all know as we grow, those are subject to change. I'd like to live somewhere in Asia, and hopefully through future work I can get a better feel for exactly where.I LOVE MUSIC. But again, who doesn't? My passion for arts, and my innate grasp for business management is what originally motivated me to study Artist Management at MU for two years. I can get down on anything to ambient, to hardcore industrial. I love electronic music - psytrance, electro, house, ect. I love soul music and old school hip - hop. I listen to so much different music - here's some of what's on my iPod . . . I don't do country music. *** makes me unique? I'm not you're average girl, I suppose. Yes, I wear dresses and shave my legs, but I also like to climb trees and don't mind getting dirty playing in the sand. As I've grown from ***centered person. It requires self discipline, and isn't always easy. Like anything else, constant practice helps. Don't get me wrong, I love horror movies, zombies, blood, skulls, and have gone out to "goth clubs" for years of my life, I listen to industrial music. Just because I am seeking the light doesn't mean I'm afraid of the dark. I'm quite a concoction of interests. I have 15 piercings ***in my ears and my belly button) but zero tattoos. I love body modification. I go to "hippie festivals", "raves" - you can find me in any type of underground music scene. I mix and match everything I enjoy in life. And to have a good time, I don't always need "sensory overload" at a club or festival. I think one of the most important things you can do is be content with your own company, in your own space. Sometimes, less is more. Yes?If you've read this far, then I think you deserve to know something else about me. My medical leave is for a condition with my shoulder that is somewhat serious, as it does in fact affect my daily living. I get laser therapy and do yoga. I've adjusted my life to work around what's going on, but learning to pace yourself is a life learned skill. All I ask is that my "significant other" be as compassionate and understanding as possible. We all have baggage - the thing is finding someone who cares enough to help you unpack, right? :)What to leave you with? Life is a garden, dig it! I think a first date would completely depend on who I'm having it with. If you're a movie hound, we could see a movie. Sushi?- I'm open to anything I'm able to do, as long as it's over good conversation. I thinking "hanging out" - possibly over a light lunch is my ideal first date. I am seeking a relationship, but am in no hurry to "just dive in". The most important thing to me, if we were to have a date - would just be . . . for you to be yourself! I want to get to know you for who you are - no need to attempt to impress or feel like a facade is needed. If we enter a relationship, I want you to be fully comfortable being yourself, and I will do the same. It takes that kind of honesty and acceptance to build a good relationship, I believe. ***

Looking for: man. In age: 21-31

I enjoy watching movies, hanging out with friends, going on bike rides or walks, wine tasting and reading. I love tattoos and have seven myself, but usually they are covered up. Mostly I listen to country, but I'm open to anything. I like cooking and trying out new dishes but I'm not the greatest at baking. I have a passion for helping others and often put others needs and feelings before mine. No matter what is going on in my life, I will drop everything to help out or just listen to family and friends. That is probably why I choose to go to school for social work. I currently don't work in that field but it doesn't stop me for helping out friends and family.I have a younger brother and he tends to drive me nuts but we are always there for each other. My parents are very supportive and I'm a daddy's girl at heart. If anything goes wrong or needs to be fixed I turn to him in a heart beat. My mom is my best friend and I tell just about everything.
